CHUD Fantasy Football A-League Smack Talk Thread - Page 2

Wow, unbelievably I have a chance to go 4-0 this week. I'm 4 FP down in one league, but have Horn, Norwood, and Crumpler tonight. And I'm up in every other league by a decent enough of points that I'll probably hold on. I'm up by 28 in our league and he's got Norwood and Colston tonight.

Of course, now that I've said this, I'll probably lose those games.
i am pretty f'ing pissed at how this week played out. once again a rollercoaster of emotion hits me as I think my team is doing poorly, but then I look at the final box scores and I think, damn I can win this!

Only to have Wease have an astronomical week and handily beat me.
I'm looking pretty good so far, if I do say so myself.
I learned an important lesson this year. Never, ever, EVER disparage the Madden Curse.
Yeah, that sucks.

Dude, you're gonna murder me this week. I think I ran out of fingers counting the TDs your players are going to have. Just knowing who I started, I thought I had a shot until I looked at the team you had.
Outside of Palmer, my lineup put up some seriously sick numbers.
If Palmer would've had a good game, you might have broken 200 FP this week.
No doubt. As usual, slow and steady wins the race though. There's still alot of season left for people to break legs and try to kill themselves with pain meds. I'd rather finish strong than flame out early. Yesterday was really an aligning of the stars for my receivers. Moss had caught about 8 total passes in previous weeks and just goes off yesterday.
Good week for me too. I might catch Darwin if Westbrook as a good night. Right now I'm in second for the week without him. Currently, my lowest scoring player is Tony Gonzalez with nearly 11.
Well, next week could be the week for me to lose. Half of my starters are on bye.
Wasn't Santana Moss' totals for the game like 4 catches and 3 for TDs? That's like Chris Carter. 'Cause all he does is catch touchdowns.
ok...i am tired of losing after my team puts up another admirable effort. I am looking for a real stud reciever.

Everyone on my roster is fair game except for Steven Jackson.
I sent a trade your way.

8 fantasy leagues and 1 win this week. And that win was only because Westbrook did not start for my opponant.

Wow, this week sucked for me.
2-2 this week for me. I would've beaten just about every other team in the CHUD league with my FP total, but I play darwin who scores like 1000 FP. I lost by 10 FP in my other league, mainly thanks to fucking Cincy who gets a whopping -2 vs. New England. If I had played any other defense and gotten a measly 9 FP, I would've won.
The bye week is a killer.
not just a bye week for me. Also an off week for the remaining players. Oh well. I had a good stretch.
Well, Wease has the entire Baltimore roster, but I'm like 90 FP ahead, so we'll see what happens. I have a real shot at going 4-0 this week. I'm up in every league, and my bro-in-law, whom I'm playing in one league, played Rudi Johnson this week(?), so that helped. Fingers crossed.
i cant believe I squeaked out a win.

Expect some heavy trade offers from me this week people. I NEED A WR
post #72 of 153
I won all three of my games this week already, and I have at least one Baltimore or Denver player on each. So that's good. I'm screwed next week though, both my top RBs have a bye.
sammy, i countered your trade
Trade has gone through.

Sammy gets Reggie bush and Derrick Mason
I get TJ Housh and Drew Carter
If I had known we were playing each other this week, I might have waited to pull the trigger.

But I think this is a good trade for both of us. I'm going to miss Housh, but he's only had one good week so far, and I'm doing ok. We'll see.
I think I have this week wrapped up. 155 points and myQB hasnt even taken a snap yet. My wideouts and top RB are awesome.
I have no totals yet but I'm pretty sure Starving Dogs put the screws to me.
i hope i dont regret not starting bulger.

grossman, you better fucking come through against arizona.
Hopefully Betrand Berrian does better than Rashied Davis in Chicagoland. I'm going to venture a guess and say he does.

I got fucking SPANKED.

Even with two guys tonight, I don't have a chance. Unless AZ pulls off the greatest upset, I lose.

We are about to have a huge 1st place tie with at least 5 teams.

I may be wrong.

ummm...yea. Grossman's performance actually turned what was once a 20 point lead into a nailbiter in my CHUD league.
Umm, I don't have totals but Team Venture might put up an all time high today-I think almost everyone in your lineup had at least one TD. My team's performance was respectable but I bet it won't even be close.
Nope he wont have an alltime high. Actually you do. One of the weeks you got 169 points and last week i had 163. Teams Venture has 138 this week.
That a team of mine did something good this season is too much for me to handle.
i really need to spend the mony on yahoo stat tracker next year.

anyway, god bless you leon washington. i had pretty much written this week off as a loss by starting mo jo and leon as my two starting runners. It turned into a respectable showing. Unfortunately, the jaguars decided to not show up today against houston. WTF is up with that? I started so many jaguars on all my fantasy teams, and they lay an egg like this?
Yeah, I really fucked up on the guys I played this week, not just in our league but in 2 others as well. I left the wrong guys on the bench.
Save the three touchdown game, Santana Moss has been a complete fucking waste. And now it looks like he'll be out for a while.
i am looking for a stud wide reciever. all my running backs are fair game except for steven jackson.

lets get something done.
god damn this league has some forgiving points systems. brian westbrook scores 18 points off of 38 yards rushing and 60+ yards recieving (8 receptions).

There were some insane totals this week!

Sammy tipped the scales with 149.95.
it is nuts. I have almost 150, and neither running back broke 20.

edit: Actually, my RBs combined for less than 25.
Any chance Minnesota's defense outscores Chester Taylor and Ben Watson tonight? Nah, I didn't think so either.
My receiving corps., among other things (I'm looking at you Rudi Johnson),has gone to shit. With Bledsoe out, Glenn will likely get a ton less touches and Moss has all but disappeared. I've been saved by my defense most of the time. Tatum Bell came up big for me yesterday though.

I sure hope not!

To be honest, my Monday night luck this year has been horrendous. I can't seem to come up with enough when I've got MNF players, so I'm preparing for disappointment.
Doug Gabriel you're my only hope!
as some of you may have already noticed, Marc Bulger is on the block.

I am fielding offers.

Ideally, looking for a starting WR.
I have a couple of good TEs I'll offer for a WR or RB. (I'll only give up one of them though, not both.)
Doug Fucking Gabriel.
I've got RBs to spare, and need a good 2nd or 3rd WR. Make me an offer.
