Agreed. He's one of the most underrated WR in the league today.

Thank god Brown got two short td's or I'd be in trouble. Not happy about that Heath Miller crap. Parker would have got in. I'm just worried thay are giving him the ball too much.

Up 37-2 and both my backs are finished. Well I still have a half a back in Vick.

How many people are in your league? Anyways, you have 2 very good receivers and then garbage at 3. Cedrick Wilson, the reach of the century, looks to be the fifth option in Pittsburgh after watching last night's game. McNabb is decent enough at QB but he has shitty receivers. You better hope Stallworth makes a dent there. Pretty much everybody has a decent QB in fantasy football anyways. You have depth at RB but that doesn't really mean shit. You have a bunch of #3 guys on most people's fantasy teams and you can only play one. One of 'em should make out though. I'd really like to know how you have a top 5 kicker, when he's only attempted maybe 5 kicks in his career? Having a top 5 defense is pretty useless too. I don't know many leagues that have 32 fantasy owners where having the 49ers defense or the Bears is the deciding factor in winning your league. Again decent team but finishing in 4th place sucks.

12 team league.

Why is Koenen a top 5 kicker?-because the guy kicks 40 and 50 yard FG like they are extra points. Most teams won't attempt anything over 52 yards and that's a stretch. This guy has 60 yarder potential and they won't be afraid to kick 55 yarders. And getting bonus points for 40 and 50 yarders makes him a stud kicker.

Cerdrick Wilson is the deep threat. I was banking on Ward being hobbled all year and he was prominent in the playoffs. The rookie seems to be gunning for the #2 slot. Once Bruce goes down I'll be fine even if Williamson blows too.

Defenses can be differance makers. Bears tend to hold teams under 10 at home which I get points for. They have a knack for the end zone on ST and Def. Devin Hester looked good in preason and could take 1 or 2 back. 5 total TD's on ST/DEF +TO could be another monster year for the Bears.

Depth at RB doesn't mean shit? Ever hear of trades? Once Maroney gets the nod I can trade for a better TE, 3rd WR, or better QB. RB always go down during the season or under perform.

Anya, Only Rudi Johnson is great. I don't trust Kevin Jones and Chester Taylor has showed me nothing. You need to be careful of injuries and hope Rudi does not get hurt.

In my big money league last year the Bears scored 260 fantasy points for the season (around 16 points a game) while the 49ers scored 142 fantasy points (around 8 points a game). Eight points means a lot in a competitive league.
I think I'm mixing my leagues with the Bears defense. 2 money leagues, 2 yahoo, and a salary cap-it's hard to keep track.

I'm not sold on Jones or Tayler either. I'm figuring 1 will make it big because someone has to compete w/ the Bears in the Central and it isn't the Packers. And to do that a running game will be needed.

And anyone who loses their #1 back be it Rudi, LT, or Ronnie Barber is in trouble.

MORE FANTASY FOOTBALL !!!!!!!!!!!

Yahoo Survival Football - You pick ONE winner each week. If that team wins, you move on to the next week. If that team loses, you are out. The catch: You can only pick a team once in the season. Last survivor wins. The game starts in Week 2

Sure. Why not?

BTW, I'd like to congratulate Wehman on his TE's "touchdown" Thursday night. Argh.

If this guy was so good he would have been the Falcons kicker last season. He has a strong leg but that doesn't equal accuracy. You're talking about him like he's some kind of guarantee when in reality all he has is potential.

You completely missed the point. Nobody in their right mind would pick the 49ers in a 12 team pool. Fantasy leagues aren't all that deep. I'd rather grab Seattle or the Jags in round 12 or 13 then reach for the Bears in round 6, when you could land an elite tight end, a starting receiver and QB or a 3rd RB.

so far so good with the 42 yard td pass.

Up 90.40 to 79.35 over the Orlando Calrissians and he has nobody left, I have the Bears. A much needed 1st week win after last years fiasco.
What I learned in Week 1: Don't listen to anyone but myself anymore. A buddy convinced me the New England defense would do better than Baltimore's this week because they were playing against Losman. Goddamn, I'm dumb.

Every time I saw a Bengals running back score, I was praying it was a screen pass.
I really need Gates and Randel El to do well tonight.
Gist rolls, even with an ineffective Alexander. Be afraid, cretins.
According to the Yahoo rankings, I'm the best loser. Yay.

I can't believe I didn't get one TD out of Hasselbeck against the Lions.
Gates had an incredible game; only thing that kept me remotely near 100 points. Hopefully next week will improve things.
I have no smack to talk. I just want to express my near panic about Cadillac Williams. Cripes. I would have done better if I put in Kevan Barlow!
Down 135.90 to 102.30 and I have Willie Parker and Reggie Williams to play. It's going to ve very close.

33.6-If I can get 8-10 receptions and a td I should be in good shape with the yardage.
Yeah... I'm not rooting for you.

Although I did a lot better this week, I can't complain.
Brought some pain this week, I did.
Willie Parker killed my chances. Better start than last year. That and my kicker fucked me. He has such potential.
Well, great... two decent weeks, and no wins. It's going to be one of those years, isn't it?
wow. 2 weeks and i'm at the very top, 30 points ahead of the only other team with 2 wins? hell yeah! now, if only motherfucking shanahan would get over himself and give all the carries to mike bell, i'd be golden.

of course, with my bench, once we go with the bye weeks, i'm not gonna be in the position to do any trash talking anymore, so let me enjoy this while i can, ok?

My 2 running backs combine for 0 points and I still win.

wow
79.85 points and I still win?

Shame.
If I get decent numbers out of Dunn and Crumpler tonight, I'm gold.

Keyshawn Johnson: My stud of the week.
Geez Carson, you think you could have thrown at least one of those to Chad???

What a trade. I give up Ladanian Tomlinson, Wally Lundi and Darrell Jackson and get three quality running backs and a good receiver.

Then Gist, who was about to say he had Shaun Alexander and Ladanian Tomlinson on the same team, loses Alexander, making the trade a life saver for his next few weeks.

Good for both of us, I would say.

you may have lucked out a close victory as Dunn and crumpler sucked tonite along w/ Vick.

Your win bumped me to a tie for first. Think I may have also got high score this week. awesomeness.

No kidding. I had to turn the game off after I watched Crumpler drop two. I just squeaked by.
Benched 3 players that combined for 80 points. No wonder why I lost, duh!
CAn't believe I'm in 1st with the most points and a shitt recieving core. Anyone have any extra WR for a RB?

Heh, I'll take it.
Yeah, one of my guys wasn't starting, so I didn't put him in. Learned my lesson.
so much for my shitty recieving core today. Mike Furrey gets his 2nd td today and Roy Williams gets 100 yards. I should lose just for starting 3 lions though.

Whover made me a trade offer with evans of buffalo-I'll take it if you want to do it.
That would have been me, Anya. Done deal.
Damn, 2 weeks in a row I'm high scorer. And as I thought I have the best defense, TE, and kicker. And if Jones stays consistant I'll be all set to win this time.
Ugh. Chicago's D just killed me last night with Hasselbeck. Also it would have been nice to have had Alge Crumpler's TD NOT called back yesterday. Yeah. That would have been better.
See that guy in the corner crying over there? Yeah... that's me.
Evans for Brown? Seriously?

Is there a multiplier in there somewhere that I missed? Because 2 Evans might be worth a Brown... just sayin'...
Ronnie Brown-70.5 points, 19 catches for 156 yards.
Lee Evans-43.1 points 19 catches for 241 yards.

what's the problem?

How on earth do you have the best DEF, K and TE? You're so full of yourself.

You made a terrible trade. You traded you're 1st round pick for a #3 receiver, you could have done better then that.
Lost by 6 points this week... some people I didn't have slotted in. What was I thinking?

Nice, casually leave out the 239 RUSHING yards and 2 RUSHING TDs by the 1st round RUNNING BACK.

As if the 70/40 points scored differential isn't already indicative of the potential lopsidedness of this trade.
I don't think anyone is going to give up a top WR for Ronnie Brown. I wouldn't. I did leave uot the rushing stats because they aren't great but his recieving makes up for it.

So I'm not exactly #1 in all 3 but within a point or 4. But I'm still #1 bu 70.
Why did you draft Brown so high then? You wouldn't know if he's been a terrible fantasy back so far. He's rated 6th as of now. Has that been such a disappointment?
Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned... it is a top team getting ripped off by a bottom dweller (so far), so it shouldn't adversely affect me too much.

yes he has. Culpepper is the primary reason he blows. The guy gets sack 7 or 8 times a game. That means more passing. Brown has rushed the ball 68 times in 4 games-17 times a game. That's horrible and I don't see it getting any better. Plus the Dolphins really suck.

Plus I have Parker, Maroney, and Kevin Jones. Brown was never going to play esp. after he got shit against the Texans who should have been lit up by Miami.

I didn't see many people beat the doors down for Brown and nobody was giving me their top or 2nd reciever for him. I know I wouldn't unless really desperate.
Ok so he was the 9th running back selected and as of now he's rated 7th overall. Yet somehow that's bad. Huh? I guess you never heard of the term 'value'. There's a difference between having a shitty average per carry and having good fantasy numbers. For someone that "got shit" against the Texans he still somehow managed to pull off 19 fantasy points. But that's bad right? Did you ever think, nobody was knocking down your door after Brown because none of us thought we could have robbed you so easily? I suppose Willie "I'm gonna be dead by week 8 if they continue to think i'm the Bus" Parker is having a better fantasy season then him? Kevin Jones is way better as well even though he has roughly 5 more points then him. As good as Maroney has played he still splits carries, unlike Brown. To say those guys would start over Brown every week is fucking retarded.
