| Okay, I saw this about 20+ years ago, and I can only really remember two things about it: The film had a very gothic feel to it, and it contained a scene were a person's (whom I believe was a woman) back sort of cracks like an egg, and a small demon/monster claws its way out. Any clues? |

| We're talking circa 1981/1982. I do have vague memories of a great deal of it set in an old manor house, could've been a period piece, which is probably where I'm getting the gothic feel from. I also remember that it had a score that sounded like standard 70s vaguely electronic creepy horror film music. In hindsight, it could easily have been a filmed episode of a TV series, as it wasn't gory, just unsettling. It was as if the woman's back was completely hollow, hence the mannequin comparison. It was a 16mm print and it was screened as part of a horror screening series that included a couple Universal and Hammer films. For all I know, it was The Manitou, and the Hammer films are blurring my memories of it. (One of them was a Hammer Dracula flick, as I remember Christopher Lee clearly.) |
