I can't be the only one geeking out about Kurtzman's movie, can I? I love Wishmaster, and if he can keep up the same fun feel of that flick I'm going to be in heaven.

Check that article- he sent me a bunch of great new pics from the flick.

Well that looks splatterific. I'm an unabashed wishmaster fan myself, so this is definitely on my to-do list.

And is it me, or does "Misfit" bear a striking resemblence to the Yellow Bastard from "Sin City"?

Looks goretastic! Definitely seems to be ripping off all the right movies. It's things like this that make me wish I was old enough to enjoy the grindhouse days. Crap like this needs to be seen on a big dirty screen at midnight.

I never got past the halfway point of the "Wishmaster" original- are there any series aficionados out there willing to parse through all the movies?

I did see Wishmasters 1 through 3, not the fourth. The second and third were definitely not as quality as the first, but they were fun, in that straight to video way.

Anyway, the trailer for The Rage is online!

I love Robert Kurtzman.

This flick looks like a blast from the pics. Can't seem to watch the trailer at work (network's blocking me), but I'll have to check it out later at home.

Mutants. Killer Vultures. Guts.

Right on.

What he said.

[Puts on his best Renee Zellweger impression]: *Sniff!* You had me at the gore.

Goddamn, that looks sensational! Like Re-Animator meets Kil Bill meets Slither meets HOLY FUCK THAT PIG WAS PLAYING GUITAR! THAT PIG WAS PLAYING GUITAR!!!

And THAT is how you do exploitation. Goooooooey. Loved the trailer. Right to the point.

that wishmaster where the roulette wheel kills everyone and the guy "goes and fucks himself" was one of the best straight to video movies ever.

This is fairly awful, but it ends up being gory fun. Think "28 Days Later" meets "The Tripper" by way of "Dead Alive". They took the money they saved not hiring competent actors (outside of scenery-chewing Divoff) and a decent script writer, and basically blew it on gore.

Added Bonus: includes Rage Infected vultures occasionally rendered in Harryhausen style stop motion.

You bastard. I was looking for this thread this morning. Terrible movie that's a helluva lot of fun, you nailed it. The gore is so over the top... plus, violence to children! What's not to love? I should have a full review up soon.

It's a blast so far (watching it while I work). Trashy, gory, and really funny in parts ("Kiss the monkey!"). I wish I were watching this with a group and some beer. Was there ever a review? I cant seem to find one.

It's terrible in all the right ways.

EDIT: Is that Misty Mundae???

It is. When not taking her clothes off, she apparently goes by Erin Brown. As if the average "The Rage" viewer would be upset by her history of horrible late night Cinemax fare.

Hey, hey, hey...let's show her some respect, and address her by her proper title; The Oft-Nude Misty Mundae.

You'd think a DTV exploitation (well, it was lacking in the tits dpt) horror flick like this would want to attract the Seduction Cinema crowd (or anyone for that matter). I could be wrong, but THE RAGE didn't look like it was going for artfilm cred.
