DVD Times gives the low down with lovely pics.

Play.com has the spiffy box for £63.99 and regular box for £39.99.

Holee-moly. I dont own any of the DVDs even though Park is one of my favourite directors, I just never got round to it but this baby is mine! I'm especially glad that Lady Vengeance DVD has both colour/B&W versions. I also have yet to see Lady Vengeance amazingly enough.

Here are the essential things to know from the DVD Times link:

Quote:
Tartan Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of The Vengeance Trilogy for 23rd October 2006.
Quote:
Tartan is bringing his cult trio together in one deluxe boxset. Sympathy For Mr Vengeance; Oldboy; and Lady Vengeance all get special double disc treatments and are fully remastered in HD.
Quote:
Sympathy has two hours of extra material, whilst Oldboy has the autobiography of Oldboy and an English dubbed version. Lady Vengeance not only includes additional commentaries and deleted scenes, but also the Fade-To-Black-And-White HD feature, exclusive to the boxset!
Quote:
Retail is £49.99 for the standard box-set, but there will also be a a numbered deluxe edition available (£79.99 RRP) in a special box designed after the Oldboy box, with added Vengeance-themed gifts including three lobby cards, Lady Vengeance gun blueprint poster, and a laser-engraved hammer/bottleopener!
Again I say: holee-moly.

Hope they take this across the pond.

Damn, conflict. On one hand I could go ahead and pre-order this and enjoy the goodness, or I can wait and see if this get's released in the US. I'm leaning more towards the former as I've yet to see Tarten go balls-out on a R1 DVD release.

I have the three Korean imports already, but these still look pretty good. I think that my Korean Lady Vengeance disc has the fade-to-black and white on it, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

I dont know which version of Lady Vengeance to watch first, or how to approach it, when I get my hands on the DVD. Does anyone know if the fade to B&W is the original vision of the director or if it was a conceptual thing that he's allowing fans to see? I havent found a concrete answer to this yet.

Also, I wish the region 2 boxset of Infernal Affairs was good, but it looks pretty mediocre compared to the Hong Kong/Korean boxsets.

I have Mr.Vengeance and Oldboy on dvd already....and i'm gonna hold my hands up and say that Lady Vengeance did absolutely nothing for me, i was really disappointed in it actually so i never got around to buying it.

Still........it is tempting.

It was supposed to be released yesterday- it really is a great dvd.

With that amazing Oldboy set looking, I think us Region 1ers would do well to pick that up and the decent discs of Sympathy and Lady. They're all pretty great dvds as is.

Somewhat similar situation here. I tried getting it today at best buy earlier, and even though the nice lady there said they had four "in the back" the supervisor said they weren't putting them out til next week for some reason.

So I went to borders, they even had a poster declaring it above the stand. 18$.
