I thought the first two films had equally terrific villains. It's a tough decision between Busey's Joshua, Ndo, and Gen. McAllister and the South African dudes.

I guess I'll pick the South African henchman, Pieter 'Adolph' Vorstedt. I always get pumped to see Riggs beat the shit out of him and then crush him under the huge container.

As for the others:

Stuart Wilson's Jack Travis from Part 3 isn't bad but he's the least menacing of all the main villains. Although, he does have Nick Chinlund and Sven Ole Thorson for henchmen.

Jet Li was great as Wah Sang Ku. I loved the final fight in the rain.

It's a tough call between Mr. Joshua and McAllister but in the end I went with the albino jackrabbit. Anybody who can freak out Ed O'Ross like that has to be one scary son of a bitch.

As much as I wanted to vote for Endo (hands down best henchman ever), I had to give it to Mr. Joshua. Hell, barring Hans Gruber popping up, you're not gonna find a better 80s action villain.

General McAllister does get credit for inspiring this line though: "General McAllister. Time for you to die."

If I ever have to kill someone, I sure as hell hope their name is General McAllister.

"She didn't die straight away. Took some time."

After much soul searching, I've decided to cast my vote for Joshua.

As a tandem, Rudd and Vorstedt easily made the most formidable villain team, but Joshua not only was just as lethal an enforcer as those guys, he was the mirror image of Riggs, which made him a vastly more interesting character. Both war vets, both toeing the line of crazy (Riggs needs to explanation, but Joshua's scene with the lighter points to some seriously suppressed crazies there), but one guy went into the law while the other went outside it. I always thought that was an interesting facet to the story.

Mr. Joshua rules this poll with an iron fist and a toothy grin.

Voted Joshua, but I remember the fight between Vorstedt and Riggs being fucking insane.

Edit: He's called MR. FUCKING JOSHUA! Come on!

Glad to see "The Jews" didn't make the list... That crazy Mel.

I voted for Endo because he's forgotten more about dispensing pain than any of us will ever know.
