I've only lived in the Orlando area for little over a year now and haven't found a kickass movie/music store yet. I'm originally from the PA/NJ area and had plenty of options. I'm looking for a place that's huge like a chain, but has the local Mom&Pop sensibilities. A place with a shit-ton of used/traded-in stuff to browse through. I like "treasure-hunting" and finding great deals on boxsets, etc. when shopping. A place maybe with 10% off Tuesdays or punch card rewards for repeat visits. There seem to be plenty of comic shops in town (love the Coliseum of Comics), but haven't found my ideal music/movie place yet (besides internet shopping). I've visited quite a few entries in the yellow pages... all were disappointing. Any ideas from the local Chewers?

For movies, there's not much outside of Best Buy and Circuit City for size, and there aren't any real "Mom and Pop" places. For music, Park Avenue CDs was the bane of my existence in college -- I would raid their used CDs on a regular basis, and they were a haven for indy and lesser-known acts. They've got two locations in Orlando, one out near UCF and one on Corrine Dr. in Winter Park. I haven't been in years so I can't vouch for what's there now, but they regularly get nods as the best CD store in town.
