Jericho on CBS - Page 6

The report, without the report, there was no evidence. The whole situation was ridiculous. And for what? 10grand? Why not 100grand? 10grand is petty dollars compared to what the government must be paying ravenwood to run the town.
Maybe 10 grand in Cheyenne funbucks is, like, 100 grand in traditional US currency.

It is kind of ridiculous but DB Sweeney's character seems like the kind of guy who wants to nip "problems" in the bud as soon as the pop up.

From the preview, both. Who're the townspeople going to believe? Ravenwood or Mimi (aka Stanley's fiance).

Although going after a hospital with Mimi inside is surely going to piss the townsfolk off.

HOLY SHIT.

I'm starting to think there's no way they can wrap everything up with only two episodes. Everything is really rushed as it is. They've given us the conspiracy in broad strokes but nothing has been put in motion to stop it yet. Mostly, I want the climax to be Skeet and Hawkins storming the Cheyenne capitol with guns blazing.

Getting back to what BMetal said about the picture quality...I finally noticed this morning that my CBS affiliate isn't broadcasting this in HD on the HD channel. If it is HD, it's some low-rent version that only plays in 4:3. Are you guys getting a true HD feed?
It is pretty quick. Though they tied up most things. Season 1 had a lot more character time.

And Jake and Hawkins together make up one badass team. Counting rounds? Pretty great.

They do seem to have some climax with the two part finale involving the conspiracy, I just hope it isn't too rushed.

Ok, that episode was great.

Playing the "assault on precint 13" card was smart.
Small location, can ramp up the action. And Hawkins is just awesome.

I have some hope for the finale. We'll see.

Anyone know how is it doing in numbers?
I don't think it's doing too well in ratings:

At least compared to last season.

Good episode. I was laughing my ass off when the mercs came thought they could "recruit" Hawkins. I thought he would play along for a few more minutes at least.

I think that a dead Getz is the least of Jakes problems. The whole crew running with Getz is dead. he was in the shit no matter what.

Where did they hang him? In front of New Bern or in front of Jericho? Because if it's New Bern, then technically can't Jake just claim that Goetz was fired, left, and then was ambushed by New Bern?

All three are roughly true.
Hopefully another station picks it up, like sci-fi or something. It doesnt seem like it costs alot to make and it has a big cult following where people would def go with it, but for CBS, i think it's done.
They hung Goetz in New Bern. They briefly showed a weathered, old "Welcome to New Bern" sign before cutting to Beck and his squad.

A hundred green boxes to jstraw for his avatar.
Fuck those 7 episodes. I need at least 13.

And Hawkins is one of the coolest character on TV.
Well that was a mess. They crammed way too much into that episode.
It looks like maybe they know the writing is on the wall, and want to clear up as many things as possible?
You got seven episodes, you have to finish this off somehow. But it just hurts that they end up having to do massive cramming like this just to get through this story. Hell, I could have seen this being extended through just half a season with the revolution just mounting up in time for a cliffhanger season finale with the actual action being in Season 3.

It's going to happen!

This is super rushed but, really, what do you expect when they only have seven episodes to wrap up the show? Although it is kind of weird the promos are calling the last episode the "season" finale. That's just instilling a false sense of hope in the nut-senders if you ask me.
Well, it did work once before.
CANCELLED

Nuts.
I find it hilarious that the fans saved this, but the browncoats couldn't save Firefly. Guess they didn't want it bad enough. Losers.
Shit, I loved this show. The whole company take-over is especially resounding today.
Well that's that.

Finale was really good, definitely mushed together to get it all in, that could have easily been 5-6 episodes.

I truely enjoyed this show and am thankful for having some type of closure.
Haven't seen it yet, but glad to hear some positive feedback about this.

And yeah, this needed closure, and I'll take a cramped episode over none at all.
I think it'd take an act of God to get the show back in a regular series sort of way, but I'd love it if CBS let them do a TV or direct-to-DVD movie. The finale had some sort of closure, but there's definitely more story to tell.
Good finale but there is still so much left open.

I don't know if I forgot this or the show just threw me off but wasn't it the bald guy from Homeland Security that was responsible for the nukes? How exactly did the Jennings-Rall whistleblower put the attacks together? Maybe it's something that was never explained.
That's cause Xander Berkeley can do anything. Cause he's Xander Berkeley.

I thought that Valente only masterminded the attacks, John Smith may have carried it out or something.
The only thing I didn't really care for with the finale (and apparently it didn't bother me that much because I didn't realize it until Boris' post) was that there was no final confrontation with Valenti. I'm sure that will happen in the future, though.

I alway thought Smith was a former Jennings & Rall employee who immediately noticed the attacks fit the J&R disaster plan and started planning against his former employers. But I don't think that really accounts for his ability to track Hawkins' nuke.

I'd be curious to see the cliffhanger finale they filmed. Maybe it doesn't show Hawkins and Skeet being rescued by Texas ANG?
Ok, That was the best episode Jericho has produced. Too bad it was the last one.

Lots of faces showed up. Seeing Marlo as a nameless G.I. kinda took me out of it. But the rest was pretty good.

Specially loved the whole Texas Embassy. And god dammit! i want to see the next american civil war.
Well, that was a relief. It did manage to cram enough to make it worthwhile, engaging and being a fitting end to this great series. And while it was telegraphed so long ago, seeing Beck turn sides was satisfying.

And Tati, just wait a couple of years...

Dude that is fucking awesome! I watched this over the summer, they were playing three new episodes a day, and I loved it to bits. Although, I think I want to wait for all six issues to come out before i dive in, those comics go by very quickly. This is really cool.
I'm not a comic reader, but that art is awesome. Love how accurately they've captured the look of the actors and the characters. I've glanced at a few Buffy/Angel pages and they look more like cartoon caricatures.
I'll take that, if anything.
Besides the characters looks (of which I'd imagine many changes can be attributed to likeness rights issues), I find the dialog to be tricky as well. The actors and directors tend to smooth out the dialog a bit ... something you just don't really get with comics. I watched the two seasons of the show on Hulu (and found it pretty entertaining) but I won't go out of my way to pick any of these up.

The later episodes started to feel like the show might have been collapsing under the weight of its own mythology but much of that could have been related to budget issues.
