Straight to video sequels take TURN for better?

Hank is the man. I'm not sure that Wrong Turn 2 will turn out to be anything but garbage, but if Henry Rollins is in it...it might be watchable. I've seen him live (spoken word) a few times and it was intense. I just hate how these movies typically feel the same way. When you're watching a straight to video, you know it without being told. It looks and feels like crap. Especially sequels like this. Wrong Turn isn't exactly a franchise, but maybe this will turn out to be ok.

There are SOOOOO many movies that disprove that theory about DTV.

I have a friend who knows the director- I've heard really good things about this movie.

Wrong Turn was a really silly movie, sure, but I had fun seeing it in theaters. (think I made it a double feature with House of 1000 Corpses...)

Wrong Turn wasn't too bad. I liked it more than I liked Cabin Fever.

I like Henry as a writer and spoken word feller, but his face in a film isn't a guarantee of quality, or even a hopeful promise of quality.

oh and the crap dtv's outweigh the good dtv's by an overwhelming amount. although i guess that could be true of alot of things. go tigers!

I was left cold by the first "Wrong Turn." I know that a lot of folks enjoyed it, but it just didn't do much for me. It's not surprising the sequel is going the direct to video route, but maybe you're right - maybe DTV is going to become a respectable format.

I tend to think the four Hellraiser DTV sequels are better than the last two theatrical ones, if that says anything.

As far as Henry goes, on one hand you have The Chase. But on the other hand you have Feast. Hmmmmm.

I might lose alot of credibility (If I even have any) but I saw the Hellraiser in space, I think it was number four (the one where they show flashbacks to back in the day when the toymaker made the puzzle box), and while I'm not saying it was good...it wasn't as bad as the ones that followed it. But I do think 1 and 2 were really good.

I like wrong turn, but I love Cabin Fever...why don't you like it and do you like Hostel?

You're not the only one. I liked Hellraiser 4: Bloodline (Pinhead in space) better than Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth (Pinhead does New York). Hellraiser 5 was an interesting change of pace, but the DTV continuation of that non-cenobite centered horror stories means they should just stop using the name. Even Lance Henrickson couldn't save "Hellworld".

1&2 remain the best of the series.
