Claire Danes has nice everything. Except, apparently, representation.

Also, I can't watch that GAP commercial without thinking "you know, for a guy who was medically castrated, he doesn't dance too badly"

Has anyone seem that latest Comcast digital channel commercial with all the wacky characters running around? I'm pretty sure one of them is actually Protocop.

And that car commercial with the soft-playing song that goes, "Whaaaaat are you doing for the reeest of your liiiiife?"- I really like that song, what is it?
OK, commercial gods....see if you can remember this one from a couple of years back.

It's a major mouthwash brand, and it's talking about how intense the stuff is. The commercials have the victim of the mouthwash staring into the camera like it is the bathroom mirror. They literally swish and churn the product in their mouth while making intent expressions.

The one of this series that stuck with me was one with this very cute girl with brown hair making these expressions. At the end, she bends out of frame to spit out the stuff, comes back up and gives a sly wink to the camera and leaves.

Anyone remember that one? That girl was very cute and had a certain charm....

I remember it. The girl wasn't the only person in the ad.

I was going to post about this too. I just watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang again last weekend, and when I saw that guy (and it is Protocop, Protector of Man. He protects men.) I almost blew a gasket.

I thought they scrapped the entire Zombie Redenbacher campaign, but I just saw a new commercial yesterday.

I swear my foot almost went through my TV, the other night. I saw that damn commerical FIVE times in one hour. I hate it to no end.

Is Harvey Keitel reprising the role of Winston "The Wolf" Wolfe in that commercial with Derek Jeter?
That's what I was wondering too, whether he was playing Winston Wolfe or "generic Harvey Keitel character" in that commercial. Looked definitely Wolfe-ish.

I like that Target commercial with that song that goes "A little bit more, a little bit more. A little bit more, a little bit more." That shit is the jam.

Target usually has fun commercials....usually some hip imagry tired into a peppy song with a beat. I give it a 72, Dick...
Ha, that 'hip jam' gets stuck in my head for hours every time I see that damn commercial.
Yeah, I don't know if that's from an actual song or if that's a jingle made for Target but whatever it is it currently gets stuck in my head almost as much as Beyonce's "Irreplaceable."

It's an actual song titled "A Little Bit More" by a guy named Jamie Lidell. I bought the tune from iTunes last week. Good stuff.

Is Starburst in a creep out competition with skittles or something?
Would you be refering to that Berries N' Cream commercial? Yeah, weird shit.

As far as commercial jingles getting stuck in your head, the new BP "say hey" commercials get stuck in my head.

They also make me think of Willy Mays.
Spongebob Nopants still gives me a chuckle.
Who are those people in those Chevy ads? They're all singing a song and such. I know a few of them:

Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Johnny O'Connell
John Mellencamp

but who are the rest?

Saw a really funny public service announcement about voter awareness, it was a campaign video for someone running for mayor, and the big reveal at the end is that the candidate is a bag of leaves. Then quick cut to "Just pay attention, please."

That mom in the cell phone commercial with the daughter talking in net-speak is pretty MILF-y.

Speaking of MILF-y, there is this red-head that has been doing the commercial circuits for the past few years. The first time I saw her was for some lousy KY commercial where her husband wouldn't put down the gigantic red book he was reading until she lathered up. Then she was in an antacid commercial where she was married to a fatty. She pops up all the time, and I get a decidedly Kate Walsh feeling every time I see her. Just throwing that out there.

I know of whom you speak. I remember her from the KY Warming Lotion commercials, thinking "Why would a babe like that need KY to spark hubby's interest?" Anyway, her name is Erica Shaffer.

Nice....got a bit of a Joely Fisher look to her. I like.
Thanks nekkerbee. I think she is smokin' hot. And she does resemble Joely Fisher. I didn't realize she had done so much outside of commercials, including voice work.

The Hilshire Farms commericals are killing me. The newest one in the office is perfectly surreal and funny.

I may be late to the party but those PS3 "This is living" commercials are truly insane.

Who's the hot brunette doing the body spray commercials right now? I don't know the name of the product--but when she bites her lips while looking at the camera...wowie!

On the contrary I find those commercials annoyingly fakey. She's pretty enough but I'm not sure she'd be any fun to be around.

Networks try new ways to end ad skipping

Quote:
Adding to the urgency, this week Nielsen Media Research begins offering ratings for commercial breaks, instead of just the shows around them.
and...

Quote:
Nielsen's new report card may force that idea upon them, too. The new commercial minute averages will provide a truer sense of how many people are actually watching the ads, and that could be a scary moment for the TV industry.

The new Nielsen averages will fall short, however, in letting people what are the most popular ads in the country. Nielsen will only provide ratings for certain minutes, and most individual commercials fall well short of 60 seconds.
Interesting news.

The Yahoo laser level commercial makes me laugh everytime.
I like that new Dunkin Donuts commercial with guys ripping stuff in half. The song is ridiculous.
I enjoy the blonde eating a patty melt in the new Hardee's commercial.

It's a little old now, but the Emerald Nuts commercial with Robert Goulet is fucking great.

I keep seeing the damn Simpson's movie commercial . "Spider Pig spider Pig".

It's pissing me off. But I have no choice cause I am trying to cut back on the amount of dvd's I rent or purchase. (So I watch TV on my free time)
Yeah, this "Viva Viagra" ad has to go. The idea of a bunch of dudes getting together to sing about their boners, or lack thereof, is horrifying.

The new Nike "Leave Nothing" commercial with Shawn Merriman & the STL Rams running back (can't remember his name) with the Last of the Mohicans score is really cool.

Can't find it on YouTube yet, but I'm sure it'll be up sometime today...
Okay, I'm not sure if I dreamed this, but last night I saw an Axe ad that took the plot of "Seven" and featured a Morgan Freeman lookalike and it ended on some sort of cliffhanger- has anyone seen this?
