I'll take all his money if he's serious.

Real hard to feel sorry for that fuckface.

LIstening to the radio now, and Mortenson is saying that he's not ready to believe the police report. Apparently, TO has had adverse reactions to pain medication and if he was having problems his state of mind may not have been in the right place to answer some of the questions the cops were asking.

damn, does he need attention this bad? If he did try and do this, I don't feel bad for him one bit...
ESPN's report seems just as cloudy.

whether this claim is true or not, I think this clearly nominates him for Sabotageur of the year...

which I think he won last year too.

Owens is going to give Paris Hilton ideas. I don't buy the suicide thing. He just wants to get out of playing in Philly.

But some (high profile) addicts have admitted to sometimes popping 50 - 100 pills a day for long periods.
TO's 5 - 40 pills probably wouldn'tve hurt the little man in the slightest. Madman.

It would have be funnier if he took all the pills on the big star in the middle of Texas Stadium after scoring a touchdown.

Giggle. Just the picturing that is funny.

I think Philly is planning it's first parade since the 1980 World Series.
This is tragic news. Do you think I can unload him from my fantasy team?
Deion Sanders was just on the NFL Network saying he just spoke to TO and he's using the excuse that the combination of his meds (from his hand) and the supplements he uses caused everything. I smell a cover up.
This is finally something that TO and I can agree on - I want him dead, too!
Millions of dollars. Women left and right. Playing a game for a living. I would want to die, too.

Suicide rates aren't any higher among poor people, Juan. It's a mental problem, not a financial problem.
Its hard to imagine TO actually wanting to committ suicide, but even the most famous ppl have depression. Money doesn't buy you happiness.
TO's protesting the existence of Terrell Owens, so he's trying to get out of his contract by taking too many pills.
Maybe Nicollette Sheridan stopped returning his calls.

Incorrect. Money does indeed buy happiness. There's just people out there who don't know where to shop.

Even if he truly is unhappy he shouldn’t deal with his problems by trying to take his own life. Instead he should kill an ex-lover and some waiter.
his publicist denies he tried to committ suicide...whether or not this is a cover up, no one knows....but it is still possible that it was an accidental overdose.
Story overblown. Popping 5 pills (plus the two he attempted to take while his "friend" (Jeff Garcia?) was present) does not a dedicated suicide attempt make. Desperate attempt to generate sympathy? Perhaps. It's like this girl I knew in Junior High who would get so depressed she'd pop 15 aspirin or so all in a desperate ploy for attention.

Edited to add that I might also try to kill myself if I had to deal with Drew Rosenhaus (sp?) on a daily basis.
Good point. Maybe he is trying to get attention. There has been a lot of negativity surrounding him the past year. Mostly his fault. TO needs to just concentrate on football.

If there's any truth to this, then I'm disappointed by TO's uncharacteristic lack of showmanship. Popping pills? Prime Time's botched suicide bid involved driving his car off a cliff - that's true showmanship right there.

On a serious note, though, would it really be that much of a surprise if Owens turned out to have the type of serious mental issues that prompted him to attempt suicide? I've heard (unsubstantiated) talk of him having a really fucked up childhood, and nothing about his behaviour has ever suggested 'well-balanced individual.'

Maybe he could gather a group of reporters to observe as he does situps on his driveway until his midsection explodes in a glorious spray of viscera and bone shards.

Now that's the T.O. we know and, er, 'love.'
Or he could have gone out the way Billy Blanks did in The Last Boy Scout.
I wonder if he was doing sit ups, while he popped those pills
post #29 of 33
I can't believe how much attention this is getting. It's a personal problem, not some huge fucking scandal.
The bit I found odd was that TO said his friend panicked because she saw the bottle of pills was empty, then he went on to say that the rest of them were in a drawer. Um, how many people upon filling their prescription proceed to empty the bottle into a drawer? Is it a safer place for them perhaps?

Definite smell of steaming bull poo-poo around this one.
Good point. I think he put the pills in the drawer,to make it seem like he took 35 pills.

I laughed at this. Now I feel dirty.

Word on the grape vine would seem to have Terrell Owens dating Sanaa Lathan, which, if true, probably counts as a strike against the suicide reports.
