Best Fantasy Football Play ever

Whenever I talk with some of my fellow fantasy footballers about great fantasy plays, I have always told them about my best, highest scoring single play ever. Back in '95, Steve Bono, my starting QB, ran a long TD run, which in my league counted for double points, plus yardage bonus. That single play earned me 31 points.

I have told them about this play for years, and finally, YouTube to the rescue:

Steve Bono: Longest TD Run by a QB

Anybody else got any other fantasy highlight stories like this?

The Brad Johnson-to-Brad Johnson TD pass. He threw a pass that got batted at the line, and he caught the ball, then ran it in for a TD. I believe ESPN.com at the time gave him 4 FP for the TD pass, 6 FP for the TD reception, 1 FP for the reception, and 1 FP for the 10 yards he ran into the endzone. That was 12 FP for 1 play, for 1 player.

I just want to acknowledge how nice it is anytime a long TD pass occurs where you own both the QB and the WR, a cherry on top when the opponent has the defense.

In my first year playing fantasy football in 1999 I had (off the top of my head) Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk, Wesley Walls, and Peyton Manning was my back-up QB. This was the year the Rams put on the "greatest show on turf". Let's just say...I won the championship that year and there were a hell of a lot of high point plays.

That team sounds strong to quite strong. Btw, is you're avatar Bo Jackson in Techmo Bowl? I had some pretty good success with the Drew Brees to Antonio Gates combo a few years back. Repeating "Gates, Gates, Gates, Gates" seemed to work whenever they were in the red zone.

My personal WORST fantasy football quarter came back in '98 - this was vaguely pre-internet, so I'm sitting there and as far as I know, am completely HOUSING the guy I am playing (this assumption was correct) - I figured I was at about a 30-40 pt league (standard performance).

This was when Antowain Smith went off for 3 tds and nearly 100 yds in the FOURTH QUARTER against I don't know who - either Miami or Indy. Chalk up a close L for me due to that outburst.

I thought you were lying about Bono going 75 yds, but after watching the replay, I can half-remember something like that occurring.
