What do you guys think of this movie? I enjoy it. Good cast and a pretty solid script.

They talked about this film in one of the early CHUD podcasts, as I recall.

Is this the movie with Cameron Diaz where they invite people over for dinner and then murder them?

Yes. They invite conservatives over for dinner and then poison them.

It started off well and then got ridiculous towards the end. And of course they had to make the black guy the crazy nutjob (or at least crazier than the others).

Personally, I can understand the logic of having a black male character be the one to have the most pent-up aggression towards conversatives.

Ah, I really like this one- it got better with age. Too bad about director Stacey Title- she was headed to the big time until I hear she got blacklisted when she wanted her version of "The Mod Squad" to be a hard-R, while the studio wanted something for young audiences. Weird, since it ended up R-rated anyway.

The funnest part of this flck is the revolving door of "guest stars" getting their comeuppance at the hands of the protagonists. None of the principal characters are really anything special, but the likes of Bill Paxton, Jason Alexander, Charles Durning and Ron Perlman are highly amusing and effective in their exaggerated roles.
