Color me surprised, but this is an EXCELLENT grindhouse film. Very low budget and gritty, really interesting use of score, and well directed.

Best scene is the ten minute long Peeping-Tom shot, of a couple talking and eventually making love. The entire scene is shot through bushes and curtains and you never find out who's point of view it is til the very end.

My official review.

I think a lot of my positive reaction to it may have to do with the fact that I've been watching nothing but absolutely shitty movies non-stop all month.

With all this Grindhouse talk, I went back to the video store and rented it again. It's still great. Honestly, if you have any means of seeing this and you have an interest in Grindhouse cinema, SEE IT.

The soundtrack is my favorite part. Incredibly low-budget, odd, and at times almost greek chorus-like.
