Meth gives you all kind of nasty blisters all over your face?
It also helps you grow facial hair.

We need to kill the bastards who make this shit. We need to kill every fucking one of 'em.

Apparently it turns you from looking like you're related to Stallone to looking like you're related to John C Mcginley

While the pics are funny, this stuff is wrecking Oregon. The pics are from the Multnomah county sheriffs office, my home county.

From what I have read, meth isn't as big a problem in other areas of the country as it is in Oregon, with the exception of northern California. Is this true?

Right now in Portland the tweakers are big into stealing scrap (mostly copper) metal to make money for drugs. My friend had the exposeed ground wire of his house cut off. A valuable two feet of copper it must have been.

This shit turn people into zombies and there is like a 90% relapse rate for addicts.

The blisters are from the chemicals squirting out of your pores.

Sorry about the soapbox, but I deal with this shit a lot.

Good pics though.

The blisters are from acetone, which is used in the manufacture of meth. This also causes fires and explosions in meth labs frequently. The drug causes rotting of the teeth and gums.
Can't say if it's true but I've heard Meth-freaks also lose their teeth due to the grinding and lack of hygene. And Oddly enough I hear some claim on "Loveline" how the semen of a meth use has seven times more drug concentration than the blood, leading some to experience numbness in the mouth while getting a job done. *Nudge Nudge*

I am also from Portland, and yeah - it's so big of a problem here that they have a near-nightly "Meth-Watch" on the local news. You have to jump through hoops to purchase cold and flu medicines that are used in meth production, and the overabundance of homeless people here oftentimes look like these people.

I aso laughed out loud at that lady with the hair.

Interesting, I watched The Corner ( a miniseries from the later creators of The Wire), and found out that the Baltimore addicts where I live do the same thing, but it's more for Heroin or Crack. Mostly Heroin though. Most of the copper wiring in Baltimore is gone by now.

I don't know how it compares to Oregon, but Meth is all over the Midwest. I guess there isn't too much else to do in Wyoming.

From what I've noticed, it's apparently very easy to make. I mean, think of it, have you seen some of the rejects who are able to manufacture this drug? When a drug is so readily (if dangerously) reproduced, it's bound to pop up everywhere.

The city (Akron, OH) has been found to have an unusually large amount of methamphetamine labs, with 20 meth lab seizures in the year 2005 alone. In 2004, over 25 percent of the State’s methamphetamine lab seizures reported to EPIC occurred in Summit County, Ohio (Akron, OH area – 43 labs seized).
As you can see from above, I also live in a huge meth area.

What really stinks is that it is now impossible to buy Sudafed and other cold medicines containing pseudoephedrine and phenylpropanolamine (which is very common) without going to the pharmacy. So, if you got a killer sinus issue, and want some medicine after 6 or 7pm when the pharmacy closes - no drugs for you. There is some new stuff coming out now without the above, but I swear it doesn't work as well.

Plus, most of the women at dive bars have very little teeth. Which I guess is a pro at night and a con in the morning.

That photo number 8 is not the result of meth. She's just stressed because her wife gave birth to this lizard/baby thing and there's a woman with puffy cheeks who lives in her radiator.

Doesn't she know that in heaven everything is fine?

I always thought it looked more like a fetal lamb than a lizard. Especially with that eerie bleating.

you can be liberal as fuck when it comes to drug use (i know i am), but fuck almighty meth is disasterous, disgusting, and decimating. my moms has been in and out of jail on meth-related charges and, unfortunately, i've met a lot of these people face-to-face.

this one guy would run his fucking pickup truck into telephone polls, tie the copper wiring inside onto his bumper and rip it out of the ground. jeezus.

the only positive thing i could possibly take from this is: i wont go anywhere near the splizzak, aka the gakk, aka tweak, gogo, bido, etc.

stay off the dope, kids!

Ice is a big problem here as well, I believe we're number one in the country in terms of population density. Ever since the feds started cracking down on weed in the 70's and 80's with Operation Green Harvest, many people have turned to ice for its comparably lower prices. I think that if weed was legalized, we wouldn't have the drug problems that we have right now.

It's also very cheap to make. They only need a small space to work out of and they can sell if for mostly all profit. You don't have to be a brainiac chemist to slap this shit together just have an insatiable addiction to a liquid that will rot you from the inside out.

I live in the midwest, southwest Missouri and it's been lousy around here for close to fifteen years. A nasty filthy addiction. Pure concentrated evil.

Actually, meth users tend to drink a lot of soda/high sugar drinks and that combined with lack of hygiene and a rough lifestyle leads to cavities/broken teeth/etc.

9 outta 10 meth users agree with that.

Meth made this guy decide that he hates the barber. Miraculously, it also made his receding hairline grow back. Meth is sure a miracle drug if there ever was one.

If this guy's life ever gets turned into a movie, tell me Sean William Scott is not the first call from the producers.

Meth also makes your eyes look in 2 different directions as well. Like a chameleon... http://www.drugfree.org/Portal/DrugI...s/photo_6.html That way you can easily spot new sources of cold medicine.

Or turn you into the Bride of Frankenstein:

I'm not sure I get the copper wiring phenomenon. Did they all get the same memo? Surely there's an easier way to illegally make a buck?

You know... the voices.

Definitely sounds more like a Project Mayhem prank than a get-rich-quick scheme.

Remember the good old days when tweakers just sold Grit?
