I quite enjoyed reading some threads here...

Thread Starter
Did the "Members Only" board suck all the interesting people and movie discourse up?

If so, is it poss to have a "Read Only" function for the aforementioned? I enjoyed reading the threads, but rarely participated.
No, the interesting people just left.
And none of the people who are left are the slightest bit interesting.
That's not really true. Uncle Cthulu and eenin, although rabidly insane and mentally handicapped, respectively, are at least interesting as case studies.
Well you've got me there.
I'm not interesting and can actually leach the interesting out of others. That's how bad it's gotten.
So the place is a wasteland, yet people still post here....

Want an interesting conversation? Try starting one instead of complaining that there aren't any. And try to do it without calling half the potential readers idiots. That could help a bit.
Actually, all the interesting people are tied and gaged in Devin's basement awaiting judgment . Beware.

Beat me to it.

Sorry we don't entertain you like the fabled past posters of yore. Maybe you should check out another site. I hear AIC & IMB has loads of enlightening debates. But this is just coming from one of the uninteresting folks left behind, so take my meager advice for what it's worth.

The ones who left weren't happy here. Good luck to them elsewhere.

I have no issue with the ones who left -- it's not like anyone is required to stay here, especially if real life takes precedence or if they simply no longer find things enjoyable here. But as fun and witty and popular as some of those people were, they didn't have a monopoly on good discussion around here.

I just get tired of the bitching about the lack of discussion when most of the discussion seems to be bitching about the lack of discussion. Stop griping and do something about it.

Oh my God, someone is making sense. Where is the press release?
He's indeed making sense.

We should stone him.
I think it's silly that there's so much discussion about the dicussion being about the lack of discussion. But I'm obviously cool with discussions regarding discussion about the discussion being about the lack of discussion.

Don't panic. I'm still here.

*Cough, Cough*

I guess it's time to step up and starting being interesting, Robert!
No deal, Wehman!
Just go to the Fakelife.com

All the "interesting" ones migrated there.
Or go to commandofans.com. That's my destination for interesting conversation about the day's events.

Holy crap! I love the internet.

Traitor.

Me, I just look for a new group of cool kids who bully newbies and sometimes say funny things. It makes me feel like more of a man.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, Bob. What boards do you not spread your seed in?
You can add commandofans.com to that list, Molt. From now on, they get my "A" material.
Well, between watching 1001 movies before dying, listening to the top 1000 lps, reading the top 500 books, googling HANSO and going to NYC make-out parties, how does anyone find time to post and/or read posts anyway?
It's been over a month since the revolt. I say it's high time there was a CHUD/Fake Life Peace Accord. How many more nerds must die over this skirmish? Who speaks for them? We cannot afford to stay the course.
Fuck that shit. I demand a Whitehead on a pike.
Moltisanti, was there a specific reason or event that caused "the revolt"?
Who fucking cares.

I have my theories, but the full report won't be released until after the election.
They're still trying to extradite Molt's key witness from Namibia.

For reals, there was no revolt. A handful of Chewers decided to create their own movie site (because god knows there aren't enough of them) and are presently devoting their full attentions to it. Simple as that.
Simple, yes, very simple. But I find it's the simple things in life that turn out to be the most complex and full of intrigue.
What? You mean they can't be productive if they're posting here 1200 times a day?

Anyhow, I echo DEVIN's post. I enjoy these boards much more without that turd box FELIX and his shadow BOBA trolling me.

Yeah, what Patrick said. And thanks for fucking up the Star Wars prequels and world hunger Dev.

I have poured out a little bit of my caffeine free diet Dr. Pepper for all the nerds that gave their lives that day.

Must I really post another dead pornstar thread?

Sorry, fab, but now we have Marthyms to serve this function. You have been replaced. By a slower, dumber model that doesn't interrupt our autoerotic grief with things like capitalization, puncuation, and complete thoughts.

Sorry those guys left and all, but the boards are still pretty rocking. And with Moltisanti around that's all I need to feel good about myself. His presence is like a hug from mom.

That last part is slightly worrying.

I have nothing to add to this thread save what has already been said.

Except for the fact I saw the guy who played Bennett recently and he looks the same, only fatter and without the chainmail vest.

haha, he's Corey Haim in Fast Getaway.

By the way, can we just go ahead and insert a "Things Sure Suck Around Here Nowadays" forum between the Chewer's Catch-All and Drafts and Lists? It would probably get more traffic than the Books, Sports, and Video Games forums combined.
Thompson, get on that.
We could stop depending on others for entertainment, and start being... Entertaining.

*gasp*

I vote we have a thread, where you post the site they are working on, and everyone who misses those guys can go talk to them. I'm sure they'll welcome you in with open arms - they were always very understanding to new people. I mean really, if you miss them, go be with them.

I'm not trying to sound bitter, I think I'm just angry at myself for agreeing with Devin on this one. Who the fuck cares?!

My mom is a huge Ivan Drago Fan. It's embarrassing, but I learned how to deal. Eating cereal with boxing gloves was kind of wrong.

The site's name has already been mentioned in this thread a few times, but I'm wary to repeat it. If it's spoken five times an evil bearded spirit appears.
