I still don't have plans.

Boo at the Zoo. The kids love it.

Bag snatching till the brink of dawn.

Personally, for a horror fan, I find it strange that I can't stand Halloween.

Though, I've come up with a tradition of watching horror movies during the night of Halloween (I'm also a basement-dweller, so I don't have any worry of kids coming to my door asking for candy).

So, this year it's Suspiria, Near Dark and Evil Dead.

You know, that's probably what I'm just going to do. All night horror marathon. I'm hoping I get 42nd St. Vol 2 for that, cause then it'll be a party.

But meh, most of the stuff going on is pretty lame.

Frank- what do they do at the zoo?
My friends and I are having our third (or fourth...I can't remember when we started this little "tradition") horror movie marathon/party. This year's theme is ghosts and haunted houses. We watch movies, play games, eat some pizza. It's nerd-tastic.
I'm working Halloween night, but I might hit some parties over the weekend.
For me either I'm gonna get drunk, that depends if my friends are going to go to someones house that I'm not allowed to be at because of an Easter incident. But that or watch zombie movies.
I am working. Ick.
That sucks. I had to work last Halloween at my church's haunted house. Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to make spoiled radishes look like an aborted fetus?
I can't wait for all of the prank calls to my radio station's hotline. I might not even pick up the phone all night.

Someone apparently is very bad with Holdiays.

Halloween party this Friday... going as Afro Samurai (giggidy). Got class late on Tuesday, actual Halloween, so no dice there Although may go out for one last halloween something or the other right after class with the gf
post #14 of 40
Two midterm exams and then working in the evening. Then watching THE UNIT at 8 motherfuckers!!!!
Celebrating my birthday with my usual routine....trick or treating with the kids, then taking any of them that want to into a darkened room to listen to the radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds"

Theatre of the Mind is where it's at.

I'll be going to a double feature of The Exorcist and The Shining. I've only seen the Exorcist once, but it was a shitty print with soundtrack problems. And I can't wait to see The Shining on the big screen. Halloween can't get here soon enough.

Yeah, I got really drunk and started yelling about not wanting to get diabetes, so I kicked over a bunch of Easter baskets.
Halloween being on a Tuesday, I work the next day. Might go to a thing in Hollywood but I don't have a real good costume. I've been half-assing my way to a costume as of late.
Hitting a haunted house and then a Slither/Feast double feature. All other plans you'll just have to read about the next day.
That's an awesome double feature. Just watched Slither and Feast recently. Both are great and should go well together.

I work Halloween night (11pm to 3am), but I might help a friend with his spook-house tour thing for the kids from 5-7pm. They need monsters and I am already one (ha ha, no seriously).

This weekend it's Popeye Jonsin' (my friend's band) at CJ's, a comedy show (by another guy from the same band) at the Irish Rose on Saturday, and a horror movie marathon on Sunday at home.

Happy Halloween!

I might be working on that day too, but I might try to catch The Departed in theaters or Slither and Shaun of the Dead on DVD.
Work, then a parent conference, then trick or treating. The weather in Los Angeles is perfect Halloween weather -- crisp but not cold, slightly breezy, leaves falling. I'm in heaven!
It's a weeknight, so editing until 10PM, then God knows. The weird thing about living in a downtown part of a city is that nothing ever changes, so it doesn't feel like Halloween up here in the slightest. It ain't like the crackheads put out jack o'lanterns or anything, and there aren't enough trees to notice the colors or large quantities of leaves on the ground. In fact last year I got so far behind on my holidays I was literally listening to Halloween-themed music on Christmas Eve.
I work till 10 pm and then I'll probably check out Waikiki, which is always cool on halloween and maybe a club after. Still thinking about a costume, last year I wore some vampire teeth but this year I think I need to go bigger.

Costco and Target here in the states had em out Oct 1. I'm waiting for them to appear right after the fireworks displays are removed on July 5th.

Holy crap! That's pretty early.

Bar. Philadelphia (Worst Major City in America). Costume? Ghostbuster.

I somehow ended up with Halloween off, I'll probably catch some of the offerings on TCM:

6:00 AM Freaks (1932)
7:15 AM Devil Doll, The (1936)
8:45 AM Cat People (1942)
10:00 AM Leopard Man, The (1943)
11:15 AM Isle Of The Dead (1945)
12:30 PM Bedlam (1946)
2:00 PM Doctor X (1932)
3:30 PM Mystery Of The Wax Museum, The (1933)
6:30 PM Beast With Five Fingers, The (1946)
8:00 PM Masque Of The Red Death, The (1964)
9:45 PM House Of Usher (1960)
11:15 PM Abominable Dr. Phibes, The (1971)
1:00 AM Diary of a Madman (1963)
2:45 AM Village Of The Damned (1960)
4:15 AM Children Of The Damned (1964)

Should be worth it for that Vincent Price run starting at 8.

Plus I just picked up the first season of The Addams Family, that'll probably get a spin too.

If I have some money, hopefully I can pass out drunk somewhere.
I'll be doing my wife, who came home last night having bought this costume.

That's of course after we take the kiddo candy grabbin'.

I'm sorry, but Detroit makes Philadelphia look like Manhattan on Christmas Day.

It's not anywhere in the same post-apocalyptic league.
The day of I have class but I also have a party this weekend and I went to one last weekend.
I was hoping to attend a friend of friend's Halloween party, as I hear they routinely descend into drunken debauchery every year, but alas, I'll be working, following up on paperwork, nothing remotely fun.
My wife and I took the entire freakin' week of Halloween. I haven't worked a Halloween since I got out of college.
I've got a party to go to tomorrow night (I've worked up a bad-ass Post Apocalyptic raider costume, complete with gas mask, leather jacket, and crow-bar), and then it's an escalating schedule of beer, sex and horror movies until dawn, November 1.

You think that's tough, but passing the latter off as the former is an even tougher sell. Especially in Kansas.

I was invited to go to the Queen Mary Halloween thingy in Long Beach but declined because I've heard it's a bit on the cheap n cheesy side. It would have been nice to go to a quality halloween event though. did anyone manage to check out the Universal Studios stuff this year? I LOVE those billboards of "The Director" that they've put up.

as for what I'll do tonight... I just read that the great Nigel Kneale has passed away ( http://www.hammerfilms.com/features/...el_kneale.html ) so by way of tribute I think I'm gonna have me a Quatermass/Woman in Black/Beasts/Halloween 3 marathon.
