The tie rule is about 20 years overdue.

Speculation - Corey Koskie is still suffering post-concussion effects. At least one prominent Brewers blog is speculating that the Brewers could target Eric Hinske in a trade if Koskie can't go this year. What's Hinske's availability?

Thank Zeus that I just managed to trade Gary Matthews, Jr., Josh Johnson, and Ryan Shealy for John Patterson, Jacque Jones, and Jonny Gomes. Somebody is going to piss when they actually check out rotoworld.com.

I guess you guys missed the part where he took it in 2004. With the crackdown of last year he probably wasn't taking it anymore. Whatever way you shake it, 2006 was most likely a fluke for Matthews.

So, the Rowand trade rumors are heating up. I think you can expect him to be traded in the next couple days. I wish they could swing a trade for Otsuka (if Gagne could stay healthy), but that does not appear likely.

I just wish the Phillies had a Bronson Arroyo(2003 to 2005)/Ramiro Mendosa (1998 to 2000) type of rubber arm. Ryan Madsen is not that guy. They need a pitcher that can spot start and pitch in long relief situations.

Just read the ESPN bottom line and it said the Red Sox have named Jonathan Papelbon as the closer. I personally think that's great news as his intensity is perfect for a closer. Plus he was really good at it. I just hope he can hold up to a full season grind.

Weren't they moving him to starter due to health concerns? Are they simply disregarding those long term concerns for short term gains? I suppose the RedSox can afford to, but that hardly seems to be the best route for Papelbon.
