National Lampoon Movies

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a franchise the only consecutive NL movies were the Vacation movies..

but this post concerns the National Lampoon name on such straight to DVD movies that are populating your local blockbuster video.

I'm curious as to (of the god knows how many movies were released in this last year alone) if any of these teen sex comedies are actually worth my time to watch.

Is Pledge This! remotely entertaining?

I also think that National Lampoon's Last REsort starring the Coreys is one of the WORST movies I've ever seen.

So what is everyone's take on this (cough) franchise?

There was one with the immortal Courtney Gains that had good tit shots here and there, but overall it was shit on toast.

Nothing beats the first two Vacation Movies.

And OC & Stiggs.

They both have excellent moments. But I favor Christmas Vacation too. Vegas Vacation is by far the worst of the bunch...by far.

Vegas didn't even carry the National Lampoon moniker. I wonder if there's a story behing that?

Because it stunk.

Animal House, First three Chase Vacation flicks. Class Reunion is funny. Can't think of any others that are worthy.

As for the DTV films, I've only seen Lost Reality 2. That was an unfunny, painful experience.

I thought Vegas Vacation had it's moments. I liked Wallace Shawn as the blackjack dealer who constantly badgers Chase.

That's the instictive answer, but nearly everything else they've done stinks too, which is why I got to wondering if there was some behind the scenes cat fights over the name, that's all. Whatever, doesn't really matter.

Not sure, since most of the previous movies stunk, maybe they just decided to stop using the Lampoon moniker. Image thing perhaps?
