Anyone recognize this film?

Hi All,
I am seeking help in identifying a film I saw as a kid. The scenes I remember were a large pool of blood appearing on the floor in a house, the family would clean it up, but it would reappear the next day. Also there is a red-eyed cloaked figure an the woods at one point.


Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Canterville Ghost? There are a few versions, but the re-appearing bloodstain could come from that story.

Thanks very much, I'll check it out and see if it's the one. This one sounds comedic though, and I don't recall it being funny or anything. I was kind of disturbed by it at the time.
