Hitler's Euthanasia Program == Hillary's Healthcare Program by Glenn Beck

Incredible, you just have to see the video to believe it (kind of longish ...)

Glenn Beck? Longish?

NO ONE is going to click that link.

Glen Beck is a fucking freak and I have no idea why he's on CNN.

OK, if you don't want to see the video, here's a part of the transcript;

Quote:

BECK: Once he [Hitler] was through with the babies, the elderly were next.

As it has been said over and over again with tragedies regarding the Holocaust: never again. So, when you see politicians making statements like this one yesterday --

CLINTON [video clip]: But the whole issue of health care is coming back. That may be a bad dream for some, but for others, it's a very welcome possibility, because we are on an unsustainable course. I think that we have to come up with a uniquely American solution.

BECK: OK. When you see statements like that, be afraid. Be very, very afraid. It's not a bad dream for me; it is a nightmare. Hillary, thanks, but no thanks. 1993 wasn't that long ago. I remember all too well that confused, nonsensical mess you tried to make of the greatest health care system in the world.
As Media Matters for America noted, Beck has previously referred to Clinton as the "Antichrist" and hosted discussions that attacked her.

This Glenn Beck is some kind of weirdo...
I agree, we definitely need to come up with a solution to healthcare, uniquely American or otherwise, pehaps, some sort of final solution....
CNN is worst than Fox News because at least, Fox News knows it's trash while CNN truly believes it's quality and objective news.
I don't have time right now to check out the clip. I'm sure I will this weekend. But the thing with Glenn Beck is that he is more of a humorist than the other highly-rated conservative talk radio people. He likes to play with people's stereotypical perception of conservatives by mockingly embracing Haliburton, Big Oil, and pollution. He says a lot of absurd things in a tongue-in-cheek way. It's not always easy to tell if he's joking or not based on a written transcript or even just a snippet of the show. The Hillary Clinton = AntiChrist thing is a good example. Of course, if he's serious about Hitler's Euthanasia being the same as Hillary's Healthcare Program, he's obviously off his gourd on that.

Wait, America has a healthcare system now?

Read the snippet from the transcript and when you have time watch the video, he looks pretty serious to me.

So the NN in CNN stands for "nyuck nyuck"?

If by healthcare system you mean treating the people with money and letting the less fortunate die, then yeah, they have one.
This guy can't be serious. First he decries human life being decided by "the almighty dollar", then he ends his report by saying that the most important thing to remember about a universal healthcare system is that it would "cripple us financially". Huh?

Har, that Glenn Beck, what a wacky humorist. Like this funny, funny question to the first Muslim ever elected to Congress, Keith Ellison:

I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way."
Yeah, that's real tongue-in-cheek humor right there. What a card!

I can't defend that. Short of finding out that the guy has ties to radical Islamic Fundamentalist Groups (and there is no reason to think he does), I can't think of a single thing that would justify asking Ellison that question in that way. I don't think there is anything wrong with asking a politician "To what extent do your religious beliefs affect your position on this issue?" That, I think, would be a fair question to ask Lieberman about his positions on Israel and the Middle East. This will be asked of Mitt Romney, a Mormon, when he runs for the presidency over the next two years. That's fine. But, "Prove to me you are not working with our enemies?" That's ridiculous. He wouldn't ask that of Feingold, Murtha, or any other non-Muslim Legislator who has advocated leaving Iraq.

Hehe, sorry, I stayed up super late last night and I think I was set to "Sarcasm Overload" before I had my coffee...

Ellison dealt with it with far more grace than I would.

Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if Ellison was thinking "you just signed your own death warrant and handed it to Jon Stewart for safekeeping" when he chuckled at Beck.
It's hard for me not to ponder the worth of the life of someone who thinks O'Reilly's favorite argument ("You don't want us to win the war! Just admit it!") is a good one.
I wanna go on O'Reilly's show. Y'see, I don't want America to succeed in Iraq. I'd like to know what O'Reilly would do with that.
it's funny cause Hillary didnt even say anything she just said we need an "american solution" then he jumped on that as if its the "final solution" and you can tell they cut it out so quick after she said that.

that was the biggest bullshit spin ive ever seen

I'm registered in the MN 5th (the Fightin' 5th!!), and Ellison was called a terrorist throughout the entire campaign for his "ties" to a terrorist organisation. The organisation is the Nation of Islam. His tie to it is that he worked with Farakhan to organise the Million Man March.

I wonder what Ellison will do when some nutjob calls him a terrorist on the House floor. I hope poise is with him then. It wouldn't be if I were there.

I can't believe Glenn Beck hasn't been fired after such a racist remark. And I can't believe Ellison stood there laughing. This is one of those times where he should have been outraged. At the very least, Ellison should have stormed out.

He should have, but to be honest, it's happened to me before. One guy I knew at work suddenly called me a "spic" and it was so out of the blue and unexpected I couldn't really react. Sometimes people say things so stupid and so outrageous you just don't know what to do at the moment.

The only thing I can think of is that it's not seen as racist, thanks to the constant state of paranoia we live in.

I'm sure that's it. I believe there are three cultures in the World you can insult without anyone batting an eye: the French, Americans and Muslims.

Evidently Glenn Beck can't be fired for making idiotic statements because he's not a 'journalist'. I forget what show it was, but Glenn Beck starts talking about how the journalistic media is a grave threat to American Society for not reporting what Americans >need< to know. I believe the clip he brought with him was a Muslim child saying she hates the Jews . . . yeah, Glenn, that's some breaking news right there. The interviewer then began to question Beck's journalistic integrity, and he responded by saying it doesn't apply to him because 'I'm not a journalist, I'm just a television host.' I remember Jon Stewart made a similiar argument on his vaunted Crossfire appearance, and it pissed me off then too. It doesn't really matter if you're a comedy show or an entertainment host, if you're gonna throw your opinions out there like they have some validity, then you have a responsibility as a journalist. You can call yourself whatever the fuck you like, but begging off like that is a bitch move.

Yes. I'd time the interview and take bets on how long it would take him to threaten to boycott Canada. Again.

Which would be bad news for us, as our economy is O'Reilly-based.

I fear the screwheads who think Beck and all the other right-wing sacks of shit speak the truth.

BECK: If you watch this program, you know that just about every night I tell you, I`m a conservative. Get over it. But you know what? First and foremost, I`m a guy. And let me tell you something, there ain`t something better than looking at a hot, naked chick. And I`m sorry for being so sexist, but if I can look at them 24 hours a day, I would. I`m just being honest.

I swear that this guy will be caught with a little girl and a donkey one day.

and it just gets worse.....

Quote:
NEW YORK (AP) — CNN Headline News and radio talk-show host Glenn Beck will join ABC's Good Morning America as a regular commentator, ABC News said Tuesday.
Beck's radio show can be heard on 232 radio stations and XM satellite radio, and his television offshoot has boosted the ratings for CNN Headline News, where it airs twice each evening.

"Glenn is a leading cultural commentator with a distinct voice," said Jim Murphy, senior executive producer of Good Morning America. "At times, he is the perfect guest for many of the talk topics we cover on morning news programs."

CNN Headline News said Tuesday that Beck will make several single-topic specials this year, after a previous one — on Islamic extremism — set a ratings record for the network.

Beck will make specials on people who believe in the apocalypse, Islam in America and the "myths of global warming," the network said. The first will air in late February or early March.

This is maybe a good time to mention the Governator and his proposed universal health care for California. I myself didn't vote for him either time, but have turned a corner in light of recent developments, one being that he has the guts to take on the hopelessly FUBAR American health care situation. If he can make this work, I think he will be prescient in saying that the country will follow.

Here's the story about it: http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?cha...67CB360F4A5461
