Jake, Muramasa The Demon Blade is...Awesome! I just traded in my...PS2 and 10 games for 1/2 off a...Wii. MTDB is the best...Ninja game out, on any system. I will take 2D over 3D any day of the week.

While, on Amazon, I ordered a few budget titles...Cruisin (Wii's version of the arcade game Cruisin USA, Target Terror w/light gun, a game designed by Edmund Jarvis (he created Defender), where you target...Terrorists.

The #1 reason I bought a Wii, was for...Tatsunoko Vs Capcom. If there are any anime fans, that grew up in the 70's, the Tatsunoko side has 3 Battle Of The Planets/Gatchaman characters, 70's era Tekkaman and its remake Tekkaman Blade, Yatterman ( I never saw the series, but Takiashi Miike has a live action film, out now in Japan) and a few others I haven't watched. I hope this game sells well, so that a sequel could include other Tatsunoko Heroes like...Speed Racer and maybe some Macross characters. There are 2 mechs in the game...Gold Lighten for Tatsunoko and The Mech from Lost Planet. I would like to at least have a Valkerie fighter from Macross.

Pick up Metal Slug Anthology if you haven't, duke. It's pretty cheap now. I got mine on eBay a couple years ago for like 20 bucks, so I'm sure it's even less now.

The only downside is that the collection doesn't support the classic controller(whyyy?), and all the non-Wii remote-only control schemes are a little iffy. Holding the remote like a NES pad works fine though, the only drawback is you need to shake it to chuck grenades.
Nexus-7, I did not mention that I picked up Metal Slug Anthology as well. Thank You for supporting SNK. SNK is my favorite game company. Maybe they will eventually produce an...Ikari Warrior Collection. That does suck about not using The Classic Controller, but thanks for the tip as well.
Hey duke, how far you in Muramasa? I don't have the blade that opens the white gates and I have no idea where to find it. As far as I know I've beaten all the bosses excluding the last one, and I've forged all the blades I possibly can. So yeah, I'm stuck. *edit- Not anymore! I made a simple mistake and wasn't checking my map enough, and ended up doing a ton of unnecessary backtracking. The white forcefields must be for the other playable character or something.

I checked GameFAQs but the one FAQ isn't far enough along to help me out.

Anyone else have this game?
Nexus-7, I just finished...Level 1, so I am not as far as you. Thanks for the tip about checking the map.

FINALLY! ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS ON THE VC!

I think I need more Wii points, though. Dammit.
Yeah, I knew someone in here was eager for that one, and I'd read it was out. Cool-- might have to try it. I never played it back in the day.
Don't forget to snag your free NES game if you were one those people who purchased the internet channel. I don't think there's a big rush, the "deal" is going on the end of the year, I believe. So maybe a few more gems will pop up on the VC before then... *COUGHcontraCOUGH*

Is anyone (other than...me) going to buy...Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, arriving in stores late January 2010?

I love you. Why are you on a system I don't care about?

Somebody willing to drag their Wii out of storage/from under a door to tell me if this is the goods?
It can't be any worse than that PS1 remake, can it?

I haven't seen any reviews online but from that video it looks like Blaster Master, crappy overhead stages and everything. Chances are if you liked the original, you're gonna like the Wiimake (ugh). Now go play Bioshock 2.

I'd like to, although I'm balls-deep in ME2, Bioshock 2 on the way, etc. My Wii is hooked up to an SDTV now, though, so at least VC / Wiiware games are playable again. Hmm.
Why wouldn't they be playable on an HDTV?
Depends on the HDTV and game of course, but input lag destroyed a lot of the games for me. Punch-Out! and Mega Man 9, for example, were unplayable.
I've never had that problem with an HDTV. Is yours really old or something? Any ghosting?
Not really, it's a 2007ish AQUOS. It's not actually response-time related (there's no ghosting). It's just input lag from having to scale the image up to 720p. It's really only noticeable either on old games for which I still retain the muscle memory from playing them a thousand times (Super Mario World), or games that really require split-second reactions (Punch-Out!!, Mega Man 9).

I have played waaaaay too many video games in my life and can feel the difference.
If you haven't bought component cables, you should. Upconverting 480i instead of 480p may result in more lag.
Don't have a PSP? Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is available on Virtual Console. I'm passing on this one, I have enough Castlevania games that hand me my ass.
Goddammit, Konami, would you kindly bring that game to a system I own/give a shit about?
Justin, I downloaded the Blaster Master game. I loved Blaster Master growing up, but this one's so damn hard I rapidly lost interest.

Has an official date been confirmed on the Netflix/Wii partnership? Everywhere I've looked, it just mentions coming out in "spring."

Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks amazing.
Playing that Muramasu, and the walking speed forces me to keep braking with my character all the time. Flashbacks to bad Sonic games.

Otherwise fun game, though!

I believe I read April somewhere. I'm impatient for this, too.

Also, one of the game sites posted a screen cap of a survey from Netflix polling interest in streaming movies to the DS! What the?! Of course, I'd want to try it if it were offered!
The DS? No. But the PSP? Shit yes.
My Netflix disc is arriving today. Anybody else?

When is a resolution above 480p and dolby digital sound arriving?

*RIMSHOT*
I did you one better and went to this site in that post's honor.
HEY THANKS GUYS!

I don't have HD currently, but I'll be sure to complain when the time comes. I was just curious to see if anyone noticed a difference in their streaming service. I'm . . . sorry, for some reason?

Your avatar works so perfectly with this post.
I got my Netflix disc, and it works really well so far. I just have an SDTV, so I'm not missing the HD (yet). Streams load almost instantly, and I've seen no hiccups or stutters yet.
Still haven't gotten mine. I'm gonna be a little sad about the 480p, but I usually just watch TV shows and docs on the stream anyway, and I'm not about to buy any of the 1080p streaming devices just for Netflix.
Yes. My disc arrived yesterday. Works fantastically.
Madworld is on sale at Amazon for 7 fucking dollars. Insane deal, but it makes me sad that no one bought it.

...but it's not that good. I enjoy destroying souls in a graphic fashion as much as the next guy but I got bored with the game about three levels in. And I could never figure out how do to the dartboard minigame.

To each their own, I kind of loved it. Sucks I bought it at full price but wouldn't have had any qualms about paying $30(or 7!) for it.

It's a weird game in that you can button mash your way through it and it becomes repetitive rather quickly, but if you actually seek out all the traps/weapons/etc it becomes a lot more interesting. Plus some weapons and enemies pop up later in the game that mix things up a lot(there's a gravity gun, for instance).
