From what I remember it's a black and white film and there's a family in a house, something strange happens, so the dad goes to investigate over the hill. He comes back and he's got 3 dots on his neck and the kid freaks out. Then I think the dots on the neck thing happens to other people as well.

That's all I can remember about it, but I think I was only about 7 when i saw it.
Sounds like the original Invaders from Mars.....

Yeah, it definitely sounds like Invaders from Mars.

I've got this one- it's Sharon Stone in "Gloria".

I've got one that's been bugging me for years. Bunch of mountain climbers attacked by a monster. At one point, it crushes one of them and sends the other one flying down the mountain (if I recall correctly by snapping his cord). The movie ends with just a woman and a hunter hero type thinking they killed the monster but it then kills both of them. We then hear the sound of a baby monster being born in a cave. My recollection may be a little off, it's probably been about 12 years since I've seen the movie and I only saw it once. It wasn't a particulary good film but I've always wondered the name.

Another one is an old Ultraman movie. A father comes home from a business trip and the son wants to know what he brought him. The dad ends up getting him an Ultraman doll and he has a whole bunch of dreams about Ultraman fighting monsters (similiar to "Godzilla's Revenge", I guess.) Was never a big Ultraman fan but I'd like to look this one up for nostaliga sake. Sadly, there are so many Ultraman movies, I have no idea which one this is.

The bit with the baby monster makes me think of Prophecy (with Talia Shire, not Christopher Walken).

I first joined this Forum months ago just to ask this question but never could due to whatever-reason (I don't remember much, problems with the e-mail).

Anywho, I've been dying to remember this flick where the two cop characters go to a crime scene and on the way they talk about how the CSI guys who were at the scene before them set it up with red or yellow ropes to show the trayectory of all the bullets during the crime. Like, to show where they came from and where they ended.

Anyways, when they arrive, there's like 500 ropes all over the place and the cops are shocked since it basically means they used a whole lot of fucking bullets.

I THINK it's either an episode of "The Wire" or maybe Dark Blue... any guesses?

Here's one that's been bugging me:

Late 70's or early 80's - there's a group of people trying to infiltrate an old castle with lasers and other booby-traps around. I think it may be in 3-D. Anyway, they start lowering themselves in on ropes I think, and things go wrong and they all start dying. Lots of slo-mo shots of people falling. That's all I got.

Treasure of the Four Crowns.
Thank you Phil! Funny how reading about the movie on IMDB now, it doesn't look half as scary as it did when I was a kid...

This is a great thread.

Alright...so there's this sci-fi movie (probably from the late '70s/early '80s) with a Han Solo knock-off leading a group of, I believe, bounty hunters (they could also be smugglers) 'round the galaxy for much adventure. Teh crew was mixed between humans and aliens...I believe one of the aliens had pasty-white skin and looked sorta like a hammer head shark.

That's all I got--besides some vague element of danger (not much help, eh?). I believe it would've been making the rounds of cable tv (HBO, specifically) right about the time that I watched Ice Pirates ever-other day.

That was my first thought. Were there any pasty-white hammerheaded guys in Starcrash?

You know what...I don't think its 'Battle Beyond the Stars' but there's a reference to 'Space Raiders' on the same wiki page. I think that's it (forgot about the kid stowaway...)!

This page ist rad. Thanks. I'ma rent both of these slices of cheese and drown myself in '80s suck one weekend soon...

Not strictly speaking.

My quest is for the title of a movie I saw in the early 80's. I'm almost positive it's an Australian flick. The movie centers around a man named 'Stillson' that is a driver. There are several excellent car chases in the movie. It also has a lot to do with the outbreak of a virus as well, and I think the government is holding his wife hostage as well. I would love to find out the title and if it is available on DVD or not. Thanks a bunch!
This may be the 1982 American film Endangered Species. No Stillson, but there is a Steele.

(edit) Whoops no, it's almost certainly the 1980 Aussie flick The Chain Reaction.

That's what I was going to say. Space Raiders was a cheapie that Roger Corman rushed out to recycle the rather expensive (by Corman standards) effects from Battle Beyond the Stars. So if you watch them back to back, you'll be seeing exactly the same action sequences twice. It's weird. Battle is definitely the better film. Plus, if you really watch the end credits, you'll see James Cameron credited as an art director.

I swear to God, I once saw a tv movie, that was a christmas rock musical about baby Jesus being born in present times in the back of a car, and Satan turns a bunch of betraying followers into sheep.

No. I don't think that's the one. This one took place entirely in the woods. They were camping or hiking or something. I kind of wish I could remember more but it was a fairly boring movie until the last half-hour or so. I don't think they show the monster on screen until close to the end either. All I rememember is two people climbing up a mountain. One makes it to the top and is crushed by the monster then the other dies when the cord is damaged causing him/her to go crashing down below. The final survivors are an older man and a young woman and after they think they kill it, it ends up killing both of them. It ends with the sound of a baby being born in a cave or something along those lines.

This was a Saturday movie on a low-budget station's weekly horror show in 1994 or '95. It definetly wasn't a movie that you'd come across on a regular basis. If anyone can figure it out, I'll be quite impressed but I tend to think it will be a little difficult.

here is another one
james coburn gets hit in the face with a plunger
i want to say it was on a boat.

Here's one I saw back in the 80's I think: A creature keeps coming up to the surface of a lake, and a boy tries to find out what the creature is. He ends up getting "eaten" by the creature. At the end, the town folk find out the creature is really an old construction crane (I have no clue how it ended up in a lake) and the boy was still alive in an air pocket at the bottom of the crane.

The Quest.

Your synopsis is dead on. I remember, even as a child, watching the end of the film and thinking "Now that was pointless."
Holy shit, I knew someone here would know the answer. Stupid crane.

I've got another one: I'm pretty sure I saw this in the 80's as well (on vhs), about some british kids I think. The only scene I remember is the kids are in school learning about sex ed, and the one boy put a coke bottle on his wanker and can't get it off. The teacher has to break the bottle.

Yeah, I remember that. It had Elliott from ET (Henry Thomas) and took place in an Australian quarry. Gotta locate that one. It's AKA "Frog Dreaming".

I'm looking for the title of an 80's movie where our 2 protagonists were opening a nightclub in Russia, but were in reality used by the KGB to train their agents to learn and infiltrate the US society.

Anyone ?

If coke bottle penis is too difiicult, then I have one more: Just a scene I caught on the Scifi channel a few years ago where a giant floating wizard head flies down to a boy on a roof, and the kid grabs onto his beard and floats away.
Here's one....saw it in my youth on Chiller Theater on late night Saturday TV, so it had to be mid-late 60's/ early 70's .

European horror, pretty intense for a pre-teen. Killer of beautiful women uses some kind of spiked gauntlet with knives in the palm. The scene that made the big impression was a struggle between a girl and the killer, where at last the killer drives the spiked glove into the girl's head, impaling her face.

I wouldn't be suprised if Klaus Kinski was in it. I saw a lot of Dr Mabuse on those late night shows.

That's another one that I just thought of. Another Euro-horror flick, where someone strings a cable across a road and decapitates a motorcyclist. Pretty graphic for those days, the head bouncing down the road next to the bike just before it all crashed.

Mio in the Land of Faraway AKA The Land of Faraway? With Christopher Lee and Christian Bale???

I saw this one scene on television, but I can't tell if this is a Cronenberg movie or not (to be honest...I have never seen any of his movies yet), but this scene keeps hitting me in the head from time to time.

A woman is in a room, looks she's trying to meditate and pressuring her hand with an exercise gripper. Cut to another woman in a kitchen, wearing a bathrobe and underwear. She is about to cook something, but then her belly starts to swell up...cut to a guy screaming up close with an O-face. Something tentacley is swooshing around on his back. Back again to the woman with the gripper, who is now getting stressed out. Back to the woman getting with her swelling belly. All the scenes start to shuffle together in rapid succession, ending with the giant belly popping to reveal some...thing.

Help!
That has to be it Darkmite8! Wow, I can't believe Christian Bale was in it! My mind has been blown! I must see the whole movie now.

Dude, that's Species 2. The women are exploding super alien hybrids out of their stomachs. Awful movie with pretty cool creature effects.

Ari!,

Is it "My Life as a Dog"? It's the only movie I can recall where that happens (and it's been a long time since I've seen it, so I don't remember the specifics). Mostly about a boy coming to terms with death (of his mother, of his dog)?

I've got one for you guys. It was a animated movie I saw in the mid to late 80's at the theatre. I think it was a new version of Pinocchio or a re-make of it.
