Strong recommendations! I'll have to check this out. I'm one of the ones who's seen the cover. That pic of the melting dude sold me alone.

I would put this film in the same league as EVIL DEAD II and BAD TASTE. Easily.

I'd have to agree. I really regret not being introduced to it earlier.

Hey Devin- have you (or anyone else) seen Swirlee? I really need to see it after seeing that clip during the Meltdown Memoirs.

After watching this and Frankenhooker in the same week I'm on a Lorinz kick.

Nice review.

This is a film my buddies and I watched time and time again when I was younger. I own the older German DVD release and definitely can't wait to upgrade.

This film needs to be seen by everyone! They may not like it (my wife hated it) but it's one of a kind.

I picked this up after Devin's interview with Frumkes a couple months back. It was great, and I can't wait for a good opportunity to expose some of my friends to it. I'll vouch that the Meltdown Memoirs makes the package a great one. It's the kind of overall package that makes the movie that much better.

I enjoy a Troma film as much as the next person, but honestly, NO Troma release can even come close to this gem. I get all warm and fuzzy just thinking about my first viewing (was I really just 19 back then? Jesus!) not having a clue as to what sort of wonderful hell-ride I was in store for. When it was finally over, we all agreed we had to rewind it immediately and watch again right then and there. This cult masterpiece is loaded with quotable lines and memorable scenes and there's never a dull moment.

Bills be damned... I gotta go buy this today.

I remember seeing a trailer for this on a videotape I rented some time in the late 80's. Might've been "Toxic Avenger", ironically enough. I wanted to see it then, but was never able to find it. Now, wielding the awesome power of the internet, and ably assisted by the informative postings of my colleague Signori Riviello, it can at last be mine.

MUA HA HA HA HA HA ......AH HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Ok, maybe that's going overboeard. But seriously, I had forgotten all about this one until this thread reminded me. I am going to seek it out. Thanks again, Al. You still da man.

I brought this baby up in the underrated thread. Nice to have some backup on it. It's been so long since I've seen it, I wondered if I was actually overrating it. Didn't think I was.
