The Taking

To coincide with the news of Raimi's Ghost House TV prodcution of The Taking, we've got a review of the Dean Koontz novel that it's being adapted from.

I'm not big on Koontz (besides From the Corner of His Eye and the first Odd Thomas, I find his books pretty scattershot) but I'd like to give this one a try. Anyone else check it out?

Not to derail, but as far as koontz goes, "Phantoms" was good, as was the movie, so was "Watchers" (didn't see the movie), and his best, IMO, was "Darkfall". Hated "Strangers", and liked 'Twilight Eyes" until he tried to explain everything away scientifically. Geez, Dean, we're reading a horror novel. We can suspend disbelief a little and a supernatural horror w/ no scientific basis is OK.
