I wish I hadn't seen this at Borders the other day cause now I really really want it.

Going back and recolouring classic 80s comics is a great idea. I read the TPB of "Hellblazer: Dangerous Habits" and it looked like the colourist had spent five minutes slathering grey and brown tones on everything. The art was perfectly good otherwise, but the colouring actively obscured certain details.

I vote for an Absolute (Alan Moore's) Sandman.

...and I just recieved TPBs 8-10 for Christmas to finish the series.

Meh. The artwork in Sandman always varied REALLY widely in quality anyway. I was always more enticed to the title by Gaiman's ability as a writer. Good art was gravy, as far as I'm concerned, and when Sandman art was bad, it was SO bad, that you can recolor it all you want, it's still gonna suck. Frankly, I don't see the need to own this.
