Karaoke Revolution American Idol

I was recently watching my friend play the cool video game called Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol. it was really funny to watch her sing "More Than Words" becuase I knew that she was oversinging the song. The judges in the game are looking for perfect pitch and perfect rhythm of the lyrics sung, not freestyling the song.
Have you guys played the game yet?

I have one of the previous versions, 'World Party'. I don't know why the hell anyone would buy the American Idol version.

The game is brutally difficult, but a great training tool if you want to learn how to properly sing the songs. I can't see it working well as a 'party' game, though. Unless you're already very familiar with the song, you will be booed off the stage in 30 seconds.

That's why I like the game.
I love singing and playing the game. I have a few favorite songs that I'm pretty good at singing. So the judges seem to like them so far.

The first KR was great, because it was actually a challenge to hit gold and platinum scores.

The sequel (KR Party) had some cool songs, but they basically doubled the point values while keeping the same milestones, which made the game ridiculously easy.

sorry I am just now posting on this, but I also have this game and believe it or not, it IS a lot of fun! I have a couple of buddies who come over regularly to play it and one of them went out and bought it for himself yesterday (and btw, he HATES the AI show itself but loves the game lol) So, you don't necessarily have to like the show to enjoy it. Cheesy or not, we crack ourselves up and play it for hours and even played it at a party we threw and it went over really well, esp w/ all the girls
