Crackdown - Page 3

Videos are up at IGN now showing all the new stuff in both the free and paid DLC.

Under the weapons section, that harpoon gun is just about the most brutal thing I have ever seen. Of course I was laughing the entire time.

The free DLC stuff is all within the "Keys to the City" video. 'Splosions, and lots of 'em.

Harpooning 5 guys to one car was probably my favorite achievement ever.

If nothing else, Crackdown has definitely made the Acheivement accrual a lot of fun. Between the harpooning and the killin' 15 gang members with the observatory globe is good times. Like a previous post, I wish there were rubber duckie kills. Alas...

I'm still trying to figure out how to complete the Stunt Driver achievement for jumping in a vehicle for 200+ feet. I've taken a damn car up to the top of Axton Cowell's tower (where you use the elevator) and yet it still won't cough up the sub-acheivement.

You know what? I've put a ton of hours into this game, and I still don't even know where that fucking globe is.

It's on the Volk end of the highway between Volk and Shai Gen. It's kinda surrounded by rock near that bazooka lady's mining hideout. The observatory, where the globe is, is a decent enough sized building, so that will give you a marker as well. Biggest problem is telling the thugs to sit still while you chuck the giant brass ball of doom.

I threw it down a circular staircase and killed everyone standing there. Pretty great how it bounced all the way down.

Just been playing this game (it was like $15) during the daytime (I refuse to play Bioshock whilst it's still light outside) and I'm having a blast. My only concern really is the insane jump in difficulty between Los Muertos and the Volk. It just seems like the Volk are impossible to take down and own most of their little stretch of city. I think I might restart on harder difficulty and train my guy a little more before finishing off Los Muertos.

I agree with the feeling of the Volk being unbelievably more difficult than Los Muertos. You're all feeling like the King and shit, jumping from roof to roof in Los Muertos, then you roll over to the Volk, and you end up trying to outrun a rocket while you plummet to the ground because you couldn't jump high enough to reach the next rooftop.

Wait until you hit Shai-Gen. Heat. Seeking. Missles.

It's when you're surrounded by six guys with M60s, with snipers all over and your health plummeting that you realise how unprepared you are.

Seriously, the Volk seem to have Snipers EVERYWHERE.

The jump from Volk to Shai-Gen is just as annoying, and that's with a powered-up guy.

It does get pretty awesome when you grab a rocket launcher, get on a high building in Shai-Gen territory, and start blowing away big groups of gang members, though.

Okay, Insane is indeed Insane.

I cannot level up Grenades for shit...as one well placed grenade explosion takes off roughly a third of a Los Muertos' health.
