Following a conversation with a friend (who's essentially the authority on music in my group of friends) about gigs we'd been too in 06 I was recommened the Hidden Cameras after I waxed lyrical about seeing Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy). I got their latest album, Awoo, for Christmas and have been listening to it in the background every now and then since New Year. But a few days ago I actually sat down and listened to the album and something just clicked. It was like when I listened to Arcade Fire's 'Funeral' for the third time and Win's vocals suddenly morphed from a bizarre mumble into a beautiful, soulful voice. So as such they're one of my new favourite bands. Seen as they have 2 more albums out I doubt I'm alone in liking the group so does anyone want to hazard their thoughts on the group?
