Dassin's BRUTE FORCE. Coinciding with the amazingly gritty NAKED CITY in March (buy that one, like, yesterday).

Cooper's OVERLORD. Hell yeah.

Kassovitz's LA HAINE/HATE.

Interesting...

Overlord - cool. I've never seen it but I think I remember seeing a clip of somewhere, maybe in the Channel Z documentary. It looks pretty awesome.

Yeah, I second that awesome. I saw that one about 8 years ago on a really small monitor and it was still pretty powerful. Looking forward to seeing it again.

LA HAINE is the fucking shit. Way better than every other Matthieu Kassovitz movie combined.

Criterion retranslated the subs, which really needed doing. I couldn't be happier about this long overdue release.

hate is just amazing.
brute force is my avatar.the end is totally brutal and i almost couldn't believe it was allowed back then.

Sometime this year I guess Criterion will bring ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS,BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ,UNDER THE VOLCANO,and i've hear somewhere that IF... will be coming out from them too.

Good news. I've been wanting to see Overlord for a while.

They need to do Weir's Fearless like right now. The current DVD of this barely is useful as a coaster.

Double dip of the Third Man comes from Criterion in May.

I'm sure it'll be a cool edition, but it's getting to the point where I should just take all my early Criterions and get rid of them on ebay now, as they seem to be double dipping all of them.
