Mike was unhappy about that but still went on the tour because he enjoyed working with Sammy.

Mike did come out with a statement because many fans were wondering why he was not on this tour. He said he was not asked and said for the fans not to take it out on Wolf because he is a good kid and does not deserve to be caught in the middle of his and Ed's feud.
Classic DLR-era Van Halen was great. But I can't imagine meeting Eddie in person without feeling an overwhelming urge to kick what's left of his face in. I can't tell who's the bigger prick - Eddie Van Halen or Gene Simmons.

Here's Rolling Stone's review.

Holy shit, this sounds like it was a blast.

8 minute youtube from opening night

Seeing Dave up there with Ed is magical. Oh and that hug on stage towards the end of the video had me practically in tears.

Thanks for posting that. Can't hear anyone else, but Dave and Eddie sound great as far as I can tell.

They only need to stay together 8 more days..early reviews are encouraging and those youtubes from the practices were even more so. They still got it.

Listen up heffers,

In a couple of hours I'll be heading up to Cleveland for the concert tomorrow night. I've been keeping tabs on the reviews and feedback on various VH forums and so far this tour is kicking ass. Extra special treat - tomorrow is David's birthday.

Here's their setlist and of course there has been changes here and there but overall it stays the same at each concert:

01. You Really Got Me
02. I'm the One
03. Runnin' With the Devil
04. Romeo Delight
05. Somebody Get Me a Doctor
06. Beautiful Girls
07. Dance the Night Away
08. Atomic Punk
09. Everybody Wants Some
10. So This Is Love?
11. Mean Street
12. Pretty Woman
13. Drum Solo
14. Unchained
15. I'll Wait
16. And the Cradle Will Rock
17. Hot for Teacher
18. Little Dreamer
19. Little Guitars
20. Jamie's Cryin'
21. Ice Cream Man (David does a lead-in story for this song)
22. Panama
23. Guitar Solo (incl. "Women in Love" intro, "Cathedral", "Eruption")
24. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
25. 1984
26. Jump

Here are some Rothisms for everyone to live by

"It doesn't get better, it doesn't get worse, but it sure gets different!"

"Always had it, always WILL have it!"

"My face has been places you wouldn't take a gun."

See everyone Thursday - WHOOOO HOOOOOO

Cleveland show was fantastic..moment of the night was Wolfgang's part in Unchained. "Dave..gimme a break.."

Happy Birthday was a part of Ed's solo instead of Women in Love, all in all a fantastic birthday and a hell of a show.

Just got in after a 5 1/2 hour drive home from Cleveland. To say the least I'm exhausted yet hyped after a concert that brought back so many wonderful memories and a concert that rocked everyone's ass off.

I'll have more later after I get some rest - if that's possible after the fantastic concert I just experienced.

Apparently Eddie is having "issues", and the rest of the tour has been scrapped. The other night Eddie threw down his guitar, and knocked over some amps after "Jump", the last song of the night.

I don't think he like Valerie's new book.

Yikes, I was afraid of that. REAAALLY glad I went to the first show here in Atlanta last month. We considered waiting for the 2nd show out in the 'burbs, in hopes of getting cheaper tickets. That one has since been postponed and rescheduled, but I'm guessing it won't happen at all, now.

Anyway, the mix was a little muddy, but we had a great time seeing the boys one last time. I'm happy that I went.

Actually the tour hasn't been scrapped, just this weeks dates because apparently Eddie has to go back in for tongue cancer tests. Hope he comes out all right.

Even if the tour does fall apart, I'm at least happy that I got to see their Houston show back in January. I've been a VH fan since I first heard Eruption when I was 13 (I'm 26 now) and never, ever thought I would get a chance to see them play an awesome live show, much less an awesome live show with Dave up front.
