A thread about Dead Man's Shoes got me thinking about this film again.

Seriously, how awesome is Considine in this, and how REAL are those two who play his daughters? Incredible.

Could the fact that they are actual sisters have anything to do with their great chemistry?

Loved it. The sequence where they come out of the tunnel into New York made me gasp; I felt it was one of those moments that absolutely captured what it's like to drive into New York for the first time and instantly fall in love.

Fantastic stuff. Always makes me cry.

Great film, and yeah the two young girls were great finds. I also loved the supporting work from Djimon Hounsou who has one of the best lines from the film; "You came all the way to America to trick or treat?"

Lovely film. Sheridan's work always has a lot of heart. It was based on his time there, and co-written with his daughters, one of whom is writer/director Kirsten.

I interviewed him for this flick, and he said that he finds it hard to get financing (incredible- since his films don't cost much) and he has turned down countless director-for-hire films.
