Never watched any of the Gorezone flicks... but I have been morbidly curious about: Sangre Eterna & Skinned Deep

Not sure how much of a difference them making the films themselves will differ from them lending their brand name to various flicks in the past (Although "Slashers" remains a kitschy fave). I'll wait for their first product before passing any judgment.

It's really bad, even by no budget standards. But on the plus side, it features Warwick Davis (Willow) having a good ol' time as "Plates". Beyond that though, it's pure shit.

Skinned Deep is pure shit. Although The Last Horror Movie looked interesting. Anybody seen it? I might give that flick a chance. I saw most of I, Zombie back in '99 when my friend rented it and that was ok, but aside from those, I have no interest in seeing any other Fangoria DTV flicks. I do agree on Warwick Davis though. He did look like he was having fun as Plates. Here's hoping they're theatrical films will be of a better quality.

I've heard very mixed things about The Last Horror Movie.

The best of the Gorezone label in my opinion is Joshua- the same one I included in my best of list for last year. They really needed to pick up smaller gems like that instead of going for the bizarre foreign flicks.

As far as horror studios are concerned, if Hammer Films rose from the ashes I'd rise from my pants, but this bit of news doesn't really do it for me; Fango's DTV movies are a bit shit.

That film has occupied the bottom slot of my Netflix queue for the past couple of years, because, well...It's the last horror movie. Makes a nice marker to note when new films get shifted from Saved to the queue and need to be re-ordered.

Has anyone seen the Danish vamp flick, Angel of the Night, distributed by Fangoria? Recommendations? Warnings?
Alright, I wasn't expecting anything from Sangre Eterna (Eternal Blood) or Angel of the Night and had a good time with this low-budget foreign vamp double-feature. I'm shocked.

Anyone who's a fan of the low-brow Subspecies series or crappy-yet-entertaining flicks like the Convent (or even the worst Hammer flicks at the tail-end of the studio's run) might get some enjoyment out of them.

Joe Bob Briggs' "3 B's" (Boobs, Blood, and Beasts) are all present. And there's some more monstrous vampires (instead of just the Euro-trash with fangs sterotype) in both flicks, so that was refreshing.

Though only tagged by Fangoria, I Zombie was a 5 or 10 minute short film that was somehow drawn out to 79 minutes of sheer boredom.

I think I saw one, Fango flick after that. I seriously doubt Fango funded films will be any better.

This reminds me -- I've got an old VHS of something called FRIGHT SHOW, put out by Starlog Video in 1985. Starlog and Fangoria were sister magazines, so this relates right?

Anyway, Fright Show was a collection of independent shorts, probably bought cheap and put together like the Fangoria Blood Drive releases.

The best one on the tape is Illegal Alien, a parody of... Alien, duh.
