I'm willing to bet nobody has seen this.I read a review of it in Shock Cinema magazine and was sold. It's really hard to find but luckily I found a public domain torrent site that has it,so I'm downloading it legally and free.woo!

Anyway a couple reviews I came across compared it to Parker novels, which was a big selling point for me.It's about some rich guy who hires a team of professional criminals that have never met and gives them all numbers 1-7 for their names. They all sport beards and suits, and the plan is to rob an entire town.I can't find any details on how they pull this off but supposedly it's brilliant.

Who's seen it?fess up.

I saw the movie when I was a kid when they replayed it on TV. It never made it onto DVD but supposedly it had a major influence on directors like Quentin Tarantino. I remember bits and pieces of it and have always wanted to see it again, but have only been able to find it available on VHS.

A friend of mine located it for me to download and I'm in the process of doing that as I type.

I remember the machine guns that were used and the desperation of a town under siege and the sheriff who had to do battle with the bad guys, so I can't wait to see it again.

Tarantino borrowed bits of the plot for "Dogs." Instead of numbers, they get colors.

Regardless, it is plain to see that this movie had an influence on Tarantino. I am quite surprised that noone has tried to remake this movie. It is a great plot and given the state of visual effects today it would be awesome depending on the cast and director, of course.

I would rather see this movie remade than another Oceans' 11, 12, 13, 14...

walter hill's director of photography shot this film. it would be a perfect vehicle for hill. i really wish he would remake this film. i love the soundtrack; one of the best ever. i agree that this film and/or the taking of pelham 1, 2, 3 had a big influence upon tarantino. it seems like the original thomas crown affair also had strangers working together on a heist without personally knowing the other participants. the good news is this film is free to watch online at lease a couple of sites. it is also available as a budget compilation from mill creek. i believe the compilation's title is 100 classic western films. in a review of that dvd release they of course pointed out that the film is not really a western at all.
