Good Co-op Games

I'm looking for some good co-op games for my PS2. Some good action games. I remember playing plenty of them back on NES and SNES (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a favorite) and a few on PS1 (Final Fight and Jedi Power Battles come to mind).

What are some worth playing on the PS2? Fighting one another in Tekken 4 gets old after awhile... I've always been an XBOX guy but someone gave me a PS2 recently. Any help would be great.

Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront II.

Both are fantastic amounts of fun. Many levels, many different modes of gameplay...the campaign mode can be single-player or co-op, and in II, you get space battles.

Yes, the space battles get a little annoying after a while...and no, there is no possible way to destroy a capital ship, no matter how high you crank up the assualt points for the battle or how long you hammer away at it with a bomber.

Plus, in BFII, you get to play as Darth Maul. I mean...come on!

I'd played this online on XBOX but didn't realize it was co-op in campaign as well. Thanks.

Well, at least...I know that BFII's campaign mode can be co-op...

I can't remember if the the first one is or not.

Get "The Warriors" the best beat 'em up around, and co-op is a blast.
Also recommended Contra: Shattered Soldier if you like playing hard as hell games with a friend. It's insanely difficult but I really loved it.

Kuri Kuri Mix/Cookie and Cream (name depends which side of the Atlantic you live on) is probably the best co-op game, though Gradius 5 and Lego Star Wars are also worth a look.
