An individual described as a "person of interest" in a series of felonies committed within the state of Arizona has suddenly emerged as perhaps the latest holder of a winning DNA lottery ticket following the death of legendary gold digger Anna Nicole Smith.

The individual in question refused to divulge his identity to the press but is believed to be the "Postal Dude" character who has starred in the popular POSTAL video game/movie franchise from Tucson-based developer Running With Scissors for nearly a decade.

Makes sense they are desperate for publicity, I don't know anybody who's ever played their games.

I played the second one. It's not nearly as bad as you may have been led to believe, although it's still not that great.

Well not only have I played Postal 2, you can find my name in the credits for it. RWS has always taken the path less traveled by. Are they the only people making fun of the passing of Anna Nicole Smith? No. Are jokes like that in poor taste? Probably. It is a part of the American psyche to poke fun at tragedy and misery (JFK, The Challenger Explosion, Serial Killers, Dead Baby Jokes to name a few). Will some people find it funny? Yes. Will others think it is reprehensible? Yes. What is worse? Getting money and health benefits from raping a woman like in GTA:SA or sodomizing a cat on the barrel of a gun to use as a silencer like in Postal 2. Most people would say they both are terrible acts but you could buy one of those two games at any retail outlet where the other was banned by most retail outlets. So if your company has a large enough budget for advertising, then murder, theft, and rape can be purchased at Toys'r'Us or Best Buy. RWS uses what they have to maximum effect. After all, without spending a penny they got a thread here on CHUD.

If that's how it works, what PR firm was Fabfunk working for?

Why the hell are we even discussing this game? Did it even sell more than 100 copies???

Oh it got a thread on CHUD! Good for them. The problem with the press release is not so much that it's offensive, but it's just not funny, and it's talking about a "character" nobody knows or cares about.
