Fuck it, I love this movie. Not only is it redone in anamorphic, but it also includes a commentary with Carl Reiner and Mark Harmon. Cool. From DavisDVD.com:

Although between this and the Fletch DVD, these "___________ Edition" names are getting just stupid. Just say "Special" or "Collector's" and be done with it.

Having Harmon along for the commentary makes it tempting, but I think I'll stick with the bargain bin edition I've got. Sorry Mr. Shoop.

You'd think this should have come out a few years earlier when the American Pie films made teen flicks big business again. Maybe it's for NCIS fans

I'm pretty sure most "NCIS" fans were in their mid-70's when SUMMER SCHOOL was released.

I've got the bare bones release, and that's all I ever thought this fine little late 80's comedy would ever warrant. No theres this new release with a tempting commentary. I'll hold off for now, until I hear comments on this new release.
