Could be better. Could be worse. Could be Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
Upside: 62 characters. 34 stages. Damn.
Downside: Shit for endings.
Upside: Despite the long list of stuff to do, Dial-A-Fatality's just simple enough to learn in a short amount of time, and there's some genuinely fun, vicious stuff in there. The standout? Shoving a sword up a guy's ass, and pulling out his skewered internal organs like a shish kebab.
Downside: Also lots of quick, worthless crap. And these characters are way too varied and interesting now to not have character specific Fatalities.
Upside: Konquest plays like Shaolin Monks 2. Fun stuff.
Downside: Haven't gotten there myself, but I hear it's disappointingly short. Not to mention, the acting hasn't gotten any better.
Upside: Create A Fighter's brimming with possibilities.
Downside: Pales in comparison to any one of the WWE games made in the last 7 years.
Upside: Premium Edition adds even more to a bonus packed game.
Downside: Way to recycle shit from the Deception SE, fuckers.
It's fun, and the game's chock full of little love notes to every game in the series (God help you if you've ever been a fan of this series and don't get a charge out of that opening cinema), but it's kinda criminal for a game that's trying to be this huge to feel like it's missing so much.
