Yeah that's the one I was thinking of, I was just too lazy to grab the Books of Blood to find out what the name of it was. Come on, not many straight men could bring themselves to write the little tryst at the roadside.

Oh and it's a toss up on which is more gay, NOES 2 or Jeepers Creepers 2.

Clive Barker being gay isn't exactly the most shocking revelation of the century. Not to say his body of work gave it away but you could certainly have found a few things that might have hinted at it.

Speaking of JC2, if we're including non-horror films it's hard to get more gay than POWDER. Ah, the work of convicted pedophile Victor Salva.

Bad Education may outdo it.
Possibly.

I don't see what's so gay about Jeff Goldblum rubbing Powder's bald head and having his eyes roll back into his noggin. And so what if there were more half naked males onscreen than in 300.

The Hidden is way gay. But in a positive way.

Was that what the youth group was about? Usually youth groups (depending on age of those who participate) stray from PG-13 movies.

Sure it was a youth group. It was probably one of those homosexual recruiting groups.

yeah its all fun and games...watching powder, then you go back to your room and your accountabili-buddy is hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck.

Depending on the youth group involved, THAT could be when the fun 'n' games gets STARTED.

One would think a homophobic (read "repressed homosexual") bible thumper who writes awful horror fanfic that includes pedophilic type imagery would be aware of "Powder" director, and obvious kindred spirit Victor Salva. He's was convicted of giving oral sex to the 15 year old male star of his film "Clownhouse", but to date, has managed never to film a scene including anal masturbation with a crucifix.

Uncanny.

wait, you mean disturbing because its such a crappy movie, not because its homosexuality...right? because some people might read that and misinterpret it as you saying homosexuality is disturbing which would be slightly homophobic. while we're on the subject, can i just say that christian youth groups scare me.

and whats with all these powder screenings at religious outings.

They're all latent homosexuals? That's my theory.

This might appeal to only a few of you who are film music nerds, but Jerry Goldsmith wrote a wonderful score for POWDER (seriously) but was known to be notoriously cantankerous (actually I can attest to this because I had the great fortune of meeting him). So right now the thought of him screening the film for the first time is cracking me up.

"Man, this is gay. Vic? Where's Vic? Yeah, Vic, it's Jerry. You got any takes with the shirts on?"

I think it's essential for film composers to be cranky. The Elfman/Raimi/Spider-Man story is amazing.

Back to topic: Sexual identity in slasher films is a fascinating subject. Anyone read Men, Women, and Chainsaws?

Does this mean that all the Yankees haters are actually repressed Yankees fans? Cos that'd be hilarious.

So that's why Freddy gets me hard...

This movie is so gay, that its listed in category "Gay Horror" on Amazon.

Also David Hasselhoff is known to keep a copy of it in his anus.
