In my opinion the only good thing about the Marvel Zombies run was their painted covers. And the page with Zombie Hulk turning into Bruce and his stomach exploding. Otherwise, it was pointless and written badly. And I was excited since it was coming from Robert Kirkman. =(
I'll have to check it out at the comic shop. I mean it has a zombified Howard the Duck, that warrants at least a look. As for Marvel Zombies I thought it was pretty decent.

the second print is coming it at my comics shop tomorrow. that cover is so fucking sweet. they're marvel characters and they're zombies. i dont see what the problem is.
So, should I have picked this up when I saw it about a week ago? I read through it, but it didn't really knock my socks off. I thought the original series was interesting. The way they incorporate Ash into the story is kind of neat, though.
