I thought the show is one of TV's greatest creations while the movie is just plain mindless fun.

I was under the impression that this Buffy comics thing has been going for a while, as an "eight season" sort of deal.

There had been Buffy expanded universe novels and comics before, yes, but nothing in the period immediately following season 7.

yeah theyve been talking about this buffy thing for serveral months. and to say the movie is better than the show is completely nuts.

The comic's been news for a fair while.
Has decent writers on board, so it should be good enough.
