Best Buy has a better collection.

You've got a bunch of Girls Gone Wild DVD's, more than anyone I know, in fact.
Good job!
I've got atleast 1000 more and it would take me forever to catalog them. Does that make me cooler or less cool?

Here's my collection, (I'm still updating).

It mystifies me why people do this.

At the end of the day my cock is the biggest, longest, smoothest and smartest there is.
Get over it.

I already traded in my copy of MAdden 03. I own From Justin to Kelly the same reason I own Troll 2. I'm writing a book about cinema's sexiest corn scenes.

Why am I not surprised? OLDBOY everywhere, like flies to the shithouse.

I can forgive Troll 2 for it still has the taint of Michael Moriarty.

But, how can you get legit material out of From Justin to Kelly? Also, what other flicks are you covering in your book?

To the others...I got the Oldboy CE at a good price. I enjoy the flick, but I'm still not sold on Korean cinema as a whole.

To the whole E-Cock comment. I hate to take part in the pissing contest, but meh...sometimes you've got to whip it out and see who bites. Hopefully, not Fabfunk.

It's more of a pamphlet. About that one scene in Troll 2. I own From Justin to Kelly because of the catchy tunes.

How do you explain SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELLING PANTS, boy?
Curiosity, it was 3 bucks and it has Alexis Bleidel in her skivies.
Nice, selective list Ripoll.

Except for From Justin to Kelly. WTH? A few titles in there do seem like bargain ben pickups but I don't think FJtK is worth 90 minutes of your life, let alone $2.99. Then again, I've never actually watched it. Maybe it's great.

Guess I can't talk... I do own that one flick about the bank robbing cheerleaders. I don't even know why.

Sugar and Spice is HILARIOUS.

No, that felt wrong to say.

To be honest, the real reason I have From Justin to Kelly and Sisterhood of the Travelling PAnts is because I was just listing everything that was in my dvd cabinant, which ended up including the few dvds my sister owns.

Another note is that about half of my movies were purchased previously viewed from Blockbuster, 4 for 20. That's why most of my movies have come out in the past 2 years.

Posting it, yes. But having the list for insurance purposes when my DVD collection is somewhere in the 600-700 range makes sense to me. But again, I assume you mean posting it. Just to be told they have good taste, I'd assume.

I let people borrow movies from me all the time. I like it, I get a real joy from sharing film with other people. So if we're talking online and they want to know, I can just send them a link.

Same goes for dates. I recently had a date (I know! I am so excite!) but both of us are poor, so instead of going out to the movies, we stayed in and watched a DVD. She didn't really own many movies so I sent her a link and let her choose.

EDIT: Also useful for parents and relatives who want to get you something but don't know if you own it. I already bought Brokeback Mountain for myself when my dad gave it to me for my Birthday. Could have been avoided, except I wasn't a member of that site at the time.
It's a good movie. I'm glad I saw it and this is a juvenile way for me to think, but if my Dad got me BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN for my birthday it would be about the most awkward moment in the history of father-son gift giving.

About the only thing more awkward would be if he bought me FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY.

Honestly, it made me proud of him. He's a die-hard Catholic but buying that for me kinda showed me that he was willing to accept my taste in movies, even if he didn't agree with the ideas contained therein.

Then I promptly took it back to Best Buy and traded it in for the Warriors.
What's up with the 2 copies of LORD OF WAR? When does one of those get traded in?
Accidentally clicked them both, I actually only own the 2 disc.

I've been meaning to clean up that list a bit.

I hate cleaning up lists on DVD AF, same thing for the 500 cap limit per folder. DVD Profiler has this thing where you can enter barcodes in and that helps. But, I don't like the way that Profiler is setup.

Here is me - DVDProfiler.

It has not been updated since last October. I think last I entered at home, I was closing in on 900. My problem is that it counts box sets as 1 DVD. So, I would have the Godfather trilogy and it would count as one movie instead of three. Same with Star Wars, Nightmare on Elm Street collection, Jurrasic Park and more. I would say I am actually well over 900, closing in on 1000 now.

As for the chick flicks - My wife's DVDs are in the database too.

Why don't you use dvdaficionado? You can click on "Count Titles" which will count each film title as 1, so it'll count how many titles in a boxset, or you can click on "Count DVDs" which will count it as 1 I guess.

I want to hear from the Chewer who owns less than ten. He's probably got something good to say about those ten films.
If you could only keep ten of the dvds you currently own (TV seasons and multi-disc special editions count as one), and only own those ten for the rest of your life, what would they be? For me:

1,2,3 - Arrested Development Seasons 1, 2, and 3
4. Annie Hall
5. Big Lebowski
6. Boogie Nights Infinifilm
7. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2-Disc Ultimate Edition
9. Shaun of the Dead
10. The Squid and the Whale

So really, I guess it isn't about the extras. Cuz Annie Hall ain't got jack-shit (a mere TRAILER??????) and I'd rather die than live without it.

Me too and I hope others who have a lot of DVD's (or games, music) consider getting insurance.
They're also really useful for friends/relatives who want to keep track of what you've got and what you want. Y'know, for present-buying purposes. Here's mine, for shit and giggles.
Yeah mine was set-up to compare with some local friends and as the collection grew...the insurance factor legit kicks in. Despite getting a good amount of them from eBay and Hollywood Video - 5 for $20, the msrp on those dvds...hoo boy. lol

there's mine...I dunno if I have anything toooooo embarassing?
Here's mine.
I don't have as many as Cyruss but then I think I have a more discerning taste. All of Michael Bay's movies? All the Crocidile Dundee movies? Come on. If I looked through the whole thing I'd probably find many more that I'd be embarassed to own.
I own dracula 3000 'and' Curse of the Confederate Cannibals (AKA Screaming Dead).

So I pretty much am NOT going to post my list.
