Anybody else find this whole ordeal interesting or am I too entained by the notion that they hired zombie voice actors to make noises during the commentary? That seems like one of the more rediculous ideas I've ever heard.

It's weird, but a film like Return of the Dead deserves it.

What Pat said.

The zombie commentary sounds like a fucking terrible idea.

There's a trailer for ROTLD: Rave to the Grave on Blood Trails (not a very good movie) and man, does it look like gargbage. The tar man's back, though... I guess it's got that over Necropolis. Let's see if the zombies die from a few bullets to the chest like that shitfest.

Yeah, saw that trailer on the Ed Gein dvd. Shitness.

The original commentary is already pretty good. I doubt Trash and Suicide can provide better insight than Dan O'Bannon.

Caught some of it when it premiered on Sci-Fi. Didn't look good at all.

I saw both Necropolis & Rave to the Grave. Then I got drunk on Wild Turkey, after that I don't remember much, other then the movies were shit.

This new commentary sounds great with the actors, but I could give a shit about the zombies in the background. I'd be pissed too if I was doing a commentary, and was being pestered by somone.

I saw Necropolis, and even though it's a shit film, I still dug it, if only for going against the rules and letting the zombies be taken down without being shot in the head. I like a good zombie head shot, but for some reason, the non-shooting in the head worked in this flick.

Well, the actor who played Suicide died so unless they're planning on having a psychic channel his spirit, I don't think he will be involved in the commentary track. As for the O'Bannon commentary, I found him a little dry and uninteresting. He didn't really seem like he enjoyed doing the movie too much.

If they are going to release a new DVD, they should offer up a little more than a new commentary track. There are deleted scenes and an alternate ending around and that's pretty much what the fans have been asking for. I wonder if the original soundtrack will be used this time as well. While the alternate soundtrack they used for the first DVD wasn't as bad as the one they used on ROTD 2, I still missed hearing some of the music in its original form.

Perhaps he's one of the zombies...

I agree with everyone that this disc needs more than a new commentary track if it's going to be worth picking up. You can get the original dvd for only a few bucks now and it's pretty great as is.
