But it's ok if Newt does it.

It appears the former Republican leader is a big fat hypocrite. If this slime runs, I can't wait to hear how Rush, Bill O'Reily and the rest of the Republican gestapo defend the same actions Bill Clinton was punished for. This is why I loathe Republican/Conservatives. They stick there nose in places where it doesn't belong like Gladys goddamn Kravitz with everyone else, but the minute the spot-light is turned on them, they have an excuse and invoke "God" to make things better.

Fuck this shit right now.

What they will say is that Clinton was not under attack for the sexual indiscretion but for lying about it to Congress. Which is when we get to say, "You mean like when Scooter Libby lied to the grand jury?" It helps to be prepared for these kinds of things.

Oh, if I only believed in god, I would pray for Gingrich to get the Republican nomination. If he ran against Hilary or Obama, he'd be slaughtered like a nymphomaniac at Camp Crystal Lake. Please let him run. Please.

Dudes, it's totally cool. I heard he underwent The Two-Week Spiritual Restoration Therapy. It's cool now.

Not until he publicly and tearfully apologizes to God.

"I have sinned! But not as much as the godless Democrats, so it's cool."

Nope, I think since Scooter and Bill Clinton committed the same crime, they deserve the same punishment. Hey, wait...

Hopefully Scooter can survive that book deal, millions in speaking fees, and hot and cold running chubby women.

Anybody can denounce infidelity when they are loyal to their wife. But to denounce it while you are in fact cheating, that takes a lot of courage.
Paraphrased from the Colbert report a couple of days ago.

Bill Clinton was convicted of obstruction of justice, false statements to FBI investigators, and two counts of perjury to the grand jury? Who knew?

This sinks any hope Gingrich had of marshaling conservative Christian support for his possible presidential run. I guess he's relying on "forgiveness", but infidelity says something about a person's moral convictions. Christians might forgive the sin, but I doubt they would trust Gingrich to be president after this revelation. Without their support, Gingrich has no chance of getting the nomination.

Well... let's go to our new source for all things conservative!

According to several newspaper editorials, the electability of Gingrich for president is more than questionable, especially on a Republican party ticket — with a party that emphasizes family values and Christianity as some of their strongest assets.

and while we're at it, let's compare with my personal favorite (article, not candidate):

http://www.conservapedia.com/Rudy_Giuliani

Quote:
Guiliani's personal background is unlike most presidents. He avoided the Vietnam draft first by obtaining a deferment by attending law school, and then by obtaining a dubious "civilian occupation deferment" to serve as an allegedly essential employee -- which was merely as a law clerk for a judge. Guiliani has been married three times. His first marriage was to his second cousin, Regina Peruggi. They were married for 14 years, before Giuliani had their marriage annulled by the Catholic church. His divorce from his second wife to make it possible to marry another woman consumed enormous time and media attention from 2000 to 2002.
Giuliani receives a different welcome for his unfaithful past but you have to read the entire article to fully see how much they despise him.
