I disagree. I don't think this commercial is perfect by any means, but it has a lot of potential, and in my opinion, Romero has proved himself far more than Paul Anderson... Resident Evil was okay, but it could have been absolutely amazing.

Don't forget that that was a Japanese commercial. If you've seen any of their TV the style fits in perfectly.

His script was a lot more faithful to the game too, which would've been nice. Anyone else sick of seeing people try to make Milla a badass? It just doesn't work. She's like the size of my thumb.

Still, that's a very underwhelming trailer. It shows absolutely no promise of quality if you don't know Romero's name is attached to it.

The commercials have actually been available at some RE websites for a few years now. There's even a making of somewhere. they're as close as a Resi fan will ever get to seeing Romero make something from the games, so they're very special and as such I love them. they take me back to before RE2 was about to be released and the screenshots still looked like RE1.5. ah, nostalgia.

It is Renfro. I believe they never showed in the US because of that contractual thing where actors can do embarrassing Japanese commercials without it affecting their image in the west. Renfro nonimage, Japander notwithstanding.
