Major League: Wild Thing Edition

I dunno how many of you are fans, but really, how can you not be? My favorite baseball comedy is being treated royally, it looks. It's a single disc release, and there are no specs yet, but I am more than hyped. I can't wait to cheer on Willie Mays Hayes, Pedro Cerrano and the crew. And really, this film would be IDEAL for an in-character commentary.

It's a star-studded movie but, aside from Snipes, everyone in "Major League" has eternally been their character in "Major League".

IGN is listing these as the specs:

* Commentary by Writer/Director David Ward and Producer Chris Chesser
* My Kinda Team includes new interviews with Charlie Sheen, Corbin Bernsen, Tom Berenger, Dennis Haysbert, Bob Uecker and more…
* A Major League Look at MAJOR LEAGUE.
* Bob Uecker: Just A Bit Outside
* Alternate Ending with Filmmaker Introduction
* A Tour of Cerrano's Locker
* Photo Gallery

If they lose in the alternate ending, I honestly could not afford to put myself through it. Too much.

At first glance, I thought this had to do with the Ted Knepper (of Prison Break fame) "Wild Thing" movie.

It was a typical 80s superhero origin movie (i.e. kinda lame) but it was just weird seeing T-Bag all young and less creepy.

April 10th is a big day for worthwhile double-dips between the new cut of PAYBACK and this.

As mentioned earlier, there really should be a Harry Doyle commentary. I'm digging on the new interviews though. I guess I understand why there won't be any thoughts from Snipes, but I see no reason why they can't get Chelcie Ross to offer up some of his memories.

Damn. Between this, Payback, Venture Bros Season 2, The Natural 2-disc, and the Good Shepard. The first couple weeks of April are gonna be expensive...

So far I've only been able to check out the interview portion and even though it's only a touch over 20 minutes it's fun to watch. Yes, there is ample time for Chelcie Ross to discuss his contributions to the film.

I hated the sound of the original ending when I read it. I still like the ending they went with better, but I can understand after watching the end with commentary why they thought it was a good idea.
