And this one’s written and directed by a guy whose last film STARRED Lou Diamond Phillips. As in his face was prominently featured on the video box. That was the main selling point of the film. Yeah.
C'mon now, Andre Braugher's face was featured as prominently as Phillips' on that box. Plus that was a good movie.

Good to see Gabriel Byrne in a decent sounding film. I was worried about him for a while.

Diggers is now on my radar. And even though Hot Fuzz is my most anticipated release of the year so far and I love Shaun to death, I think I'll wind up loving Fuzz more than I do Shaun for the exact opposite reason as Devin -- I have a life-long love of cop and action movies as opposed to one of horror and zombie flicks.

The Reaping comes out the same week as Passover. Hilarious. I can imagine the meeting where they thought that would be a good idea.

Thank the gods, my favorite column is back!

I believe the return of this can be summed up thusly:

Nice to see the column return, but I don't know if I should feel bad that this was my first time hearing of almost half of those films! Oh well, now that the column's back, I'm ready for them...

Great job, guys!

Smiley Face... cool...

thanks... probably highest on my radar now.

Nice to see this back. Loved the writeup by Micah on that Bruce Willis/Halle Berry abomination.

Just the other day I was wondering if the Prognosticator would ever return and here it is better than ever. It's one thing to see a release schedule on, say, IMDB but it's quite another to get the always trustworthy CHUD accolades or damnations.

Hott Fuzz is, without a doubt, my most anticipated film of the bunch. I have to admit, though, to being curious about Vacancy. Great premise anyway.

I have been clamouring and emailing for this thing to return.

We need it regularly. I am pleased.
Unfortunately there are 10 or so films this month I want to see.
Most will suck I'm sure.

I hope you meant The Thirteenth Warrior, not Thirteen Warriors.

"Rodriguez, Tarantino, Zombit, Wright and Roth"

I didn't realize until now that a made-up Eddie Murphy did one of the trailers.

The Carver story for Jindabyne was in Altman's Short Cuts.

This adaptation can only suffer for the lack of Huey Lewis.

This is a great feature. When I first started visiting CHUD it was probably what I looked forward to the most. May it never leave us again.

Can anyone explain how Devin ended up in a Jamie Kennedy breakdancing movie? Or is that some sort of obscure joke?
