Favourite baseball broadcasters?

I posted this question a few years ago...What are people's favourite broadcasting teams? They've been gone some 15-20 years, but I always liked Costas and Kubek on NBC. Buck Martinez, annoying nasal tone aside, was actually pretty knowledgeable. Morgan is terminally boring, McCarver should be thrown under a bus. Others?

Most of the TV broadcasters suck in comparison to the radio guys. I have to say Dave Van Horne (Montreal, then later Florida) is one of the best in the business. When Dave was working with Ken Singleton, it made the ballgame just that much better.

Vin Scully, obviously. I really dig Buck and Dave Campbell, who sound exactly the same. I have grown to love the Braves crew, aside from when they used to use the WORST broadcaster of all time, Bob Rathbun.

Rex Hudler is such a suck-up, I cannot believe he has a job.

You know who's good? Fucking John Flaherty.

Steve Stone is the almighty god of color commentators. Don Sutton is also very good. And I usually enjoy Rick Sutcliffe's work on the ESPN broadcasts, especially when he's drunk.

For a Minnesota Twins fan like myself, Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven are aces. Even after last years F-bomb by Bert, he's still a beloved figure and it's always fun to see little kids with their "circle me Bert" signs. I've had multiple nieces and nephews circled and it's always a huge thrill for them.

My least faves are whoever covers the White Sox for their Fox Sports affiliate. Just horribly biased, immature and unprofessional.

Some of the radio guys are pretty good - Toronto's guys are a little too relaxed for my taste, but pleasant to listen to (RIP Tom Cheek).

Van Horne and Singleton were excellent. That Expos franchise had a lot going for it.

Not too crazy about that current Yankees radio guy, what's his name, Sterling?

Who does John Flaherty broadcast for?

Vin Scully, and that "voice of god" guy from Philadelphia.

Even though it doesn't belong in this thread, I must once again reiterate my hatred for Joe Morgan, Joe Buck, and Tim McCarver.

Harry the K and Whitey Ashburn for the Phils... Hands down... Not been the same since Whitey died.

There was a time when I actually preferred to listen to Mets games on the radio, and Gary Cohen was a big reason why. But it wasn't meant to be, those bastards over at SNY stole him for their telecasts, teaming him up with Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling.

Not a bad team, truth be told.

Joe Buck and Tim McCarver....

If I was fucking retarded.

I'll add to the Vin Scully love. Man, the old man knows his baseball.
