I haven't read any Joe Hill just yet, but I've heard from some people that it's even better than his father's work.

I keep on hearing really well of the book, and Neil Jordan's a fine director (and novelist himself, oddly enough. His last novel had a similar plot to The lovely Bones (might've pre-dated it, I think), but was a hell of a lot better).
