Not as fake as the CGI in Justice League though. :D

YOU WILL BELIEVE A MUSTACHE CAN DISAPPEAR!

Hollywood Reporter and Variety both say the weekend will come in around $95m for JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Which, fun fact, would mean the movie sold less tickets OW than AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.

Well, it's cause all you goofballs got to see it for free.

"When I think of fun I think of BvS. Also, I'm fucking dead and disappointed in you."

This is some historical revisionism. In 2014 when they announced Justice League Parts 1 and 2 EEEEEEVVVVVEERRRRRYYYOOOONNNNNNEEEEEE thought it was going to make all the money in the world.

Then they spent the next 3 years effectively destroying all of that good will.

Not everyone.

Not me.

A $200 million opening is never a sure thing unless you build up to it. WB never did, they just assumed that was the case. Thus they're insane.

I mean, we all know how to do this better than those guys in Hollywood, and that's why they won't let us!

In order to do something well you have to care about it.

We already had the best version of Justice League we could ask for.

At this point I don't think we won't see another JL movie again for the foreseeable future.

The bar has been set so high with that excellent animated series that it's almost foolhardy to do a live action movie at this point.

Especially if it has a WB/DC logo in front of it.

B+ CinemaScore. They're fucked.

Guess somebody got a nice little check from WB.

For a movie like this, a B+ is not great. It's exactly what ASM 2 got, as well as Suicide Squad. BvS got a B.

I guess the positive buzz for Wonder Woman wasn't enough to counter the lingering stink from BvS.

It didn't help that there was no real hook with Justice League. BvS got some mileage out of DC's most famous trio appearing together in a live action movie for the first time. Who really cares if Aquaman and Cyborg team up too?

At this rate, the Aquaman movie will be sleeping with the fishes!

......

.....

I’m gonna go..

This is the result of WB not giving a shit about establishing goodwill through solo movies.

I think the bigger issue is that WB just didn't make strong enough films. Good films are far more important than solo films.

Batman V Superman was their moment.  It was the chance to pivot from the mistakes of Man of Steel into what fans and audiences wanted, and they absolutely could have done just that.  It still wasn't too late!  They instead doubled down in the wrong direction and crippled this "universe" before it even got going.  Now it's entirely too late.
